Those ships were already manned by crews and completely active - he didn't raise them.

He just gave a signal for them to activate.

Don't know why people are surprised at him taking out a fleet of ships with Lightning - he already had that kind of power in Dark Empire.

And in the EU, Palpatine had a younger, stronger body and could duel with a lightsaber - and use Force Storms to teleport ships and people.

EU Palpatine is still massively superior to Disney Palpatine.

Disney Palpatine probably had enhanced power due to uncovering more knowledge in Sith Holocrons, etc.

He still apparently couldn't duel with a lightsaber, which was disappointing.

Although he would still lose to a magical uterus, anyway.

I guess there's one way Palpatine survived. Leia had shown this in Last Jedi. It was so simple! He flew out and away from the Death Star before it blew up! Literally he did this all the way to Exogol:

Rey killing him is different, then as far as we know hes still legit alive.

I mean just put aside that this trilogy just repeated the plot of the OT, lets also put aside how inconsistent this trilogy was by different directors pulling it in opposite directions... But this film alone Just had bad story telling.
