Who is the More VILLAINOUS? Joker or Thanos?

Started by CPT Space Bomb14 pages

Lord of Murder this is supposed to be about MOVIE Thanos. Stop bringing up comics.

Anyway, Both Thanos and Joker are top tier movie villains. Joker has had 2 amazing performances and 1 awful one. Thanos has had one great one. So time will tell but currently Thanos is the king of Pop culture villains for now. He's everywhere.

Thanos has some redeeming qualities and humanity in him.

The Joker is pure, unrestrained evil, with the only limitations to his malice being physical.

In terms of who is more villainous or evil, Joker easily.

Liar, you avoid the critical fact:

The FACT that Thanos was on his knees begging Galactus to spare his life?

Let's simplify this for your primitive brain:

Did Thanks beg Galactus to spare his life?

Liar. Thanos wins.

But...

Did Warlock defeat Thanos in that instance?

Thanos prevails.

How am I lying about Thanos being down on his knees begging for his life when that's exactly what happened?

Here's the proof:

Liar...

Thanos was defeated in the referenced instance...

Here is the proof:

Anyway, Joker is definitely the superior villain; he is superior to Thanos in ways that cannot be debated...

For example:

Thanos has a bad habit of crying like a b!tch (which Joker has never done) as he is an emotional train wreck...

Also, Thanos is fully willing to get down on his knees to beg for his life when facing a superior opponent...

The above qualities automatically disqualify Thanos as far as I am concerned...

Thanos is a cry baby combined with being very cowardly...

Thanos cannot be a top villain as a result...

The Joker is certainly the more INTERESTING villain imo. In fact, he's probably the single best comic book villain of all time, not to mention that his unpredictability and lack of a clear motivation make him perfect to fit into any plot or any genre. Want a light and goofy villain who doesn't really hurt anyone like Cesar Romero? The Joker's your guy. Do you want a genuinely scary and existentially threatening villain like Heath Ledger? The Joker is also your guy. Want to go cosmic? Emperor Joker.

Thanos is a very esoteric and hard to explain villain to the average person. The motivation that he has in the comics can seem silly if not done properly, and his motivation in Infinity War flat out doesn't make sense and falls apart under elementary logic, making him seem like a overpowerpowered lunatic rather than a guy who seems like he might have a good behind what he does. While I personally like Thanos, he doesn't have nearly the charisma or the "hook" that The Joker does.

Nah, Joker is just a nutjob who wants to burn the world. There’s really nothing to him. He is a 2 d villain who looks weird, is extremely weak as a villain so you can’t take him seriously without the henchmen or resources, didn’t really care for anyone, blah.

Thanos is extremely deep, powerful in the sense he dominated a team filled with ego maniacs used to dominating those around him, and was built up for years. The expectations were at the ceiling so it was harder to reach and he easily surpassed them. The same fans who praise the joker didn’t think anything of Heath prior to the film. Much easier to hit it out of the park when no one expects you too. Thanos is the best villain of all time. This iteration of the Joker doesn’t deserve to be in this discussion. Honestly. I know most of you sycophants don’t even believe in the joker and are trying to troll the G.O.A.T. Thanos.

You are about as respectable as josh or h1. Just a dumb troll who can’t even form a sentence let alone a relevant point.

Thanos wins. Joker is weak.

lol you keep saying Joker is weak and all that nonsense but the question actually is who is more villainous.... Thanos did what he did for a just reason which makes him automatically less evil than someone like the Joker who kills for fun and the random chaos of it... Jokers plan in TDK was to corrupt Gotham City for no other reason than to prove that everyone is a sick puppy on the inside... 89 Joker wanted to control the mob and when he did that he wanted to kill everyone in Gotham just for the hell of it... the guy kills for ENJOYMENT... thats much more villainous and evil than Thanos who had a good reason for doing what he did.... from a certain point of view.

Look we get it you love Thanos and he was a great antagonist in a great film but he cant win em all... I think people would respect you a lot more if you dropped the bias Quan, maybe just on these little battles even... food for thought anyways.
