Why Stephen Yaxley Lennon (Tommy Robinson) was arrested and jailed

A lot of rightist nut jobs are trying to say it was freedom of speech. It wasn't, it was contempt of court laws which Yaxley Lennon pleaded guilty to breaking.

Nice to see that the BBC is still OUT RIGHT Lying.

Truly the English are the New Fascist Nation in the Making.

I was already aware of this. The UK has weird laws about trials. Tommy was filming outside a courthouse and got in trouble. In this country you can at least do that. Sometimes cameras are allowed inside, sometimes they are not. In the UK it is different. Tommy did this before, got in trouble. Then he did it again and...here we are.

It's stupid, but no it's not a free speech issue because they don't have free speech in the UK.

Yeah as much as you hate the eeeevvviiiils of the youtube ranters, Sargon was actually pretty upfront and honest about the details of this from the beginning

The U.K is just doing everything it can do to protect Child Slavers and Rapists. The True Future of the U.K.

It's just funny how they try to act like everything about this was rational, but they had a friggin gag order on the story for a brief period of time.

I have not seen a single person make the argument that you are making about Tommy Robinson. I've heard many many times over, and even from Tommy's own mouth that it was due to the contempt of court charge.

However, I do see that an argument can be made that the contempt of court charge is an indirect violation of freedom of speech. So I will take that stand right now to characterize that strawman you are making. I am become strawman for you.

So, there, you have a person now making that claim. It was a violation of the freedom of speech.

Oh, lots of people made that claim, especially on social media. The argument, in reality, is less about free speech and more about rule of law. But rightists don't like rule of law because it prevents them restricting civil and religious liberties.

I don't get it. He was restricted from a "free speech" action. And he refused to play along with what he saw as a clear violation of a freedom of speech AGAINST the government (very specifically what the US's First Amendment is really about and we stole that idea from England).

How is him getting his civil liberties violated actually him trying to restrict the civil and religious liberties of others?

Or are you making a commentary about his opposition to Muslim Rape gangs?

From his pictures, he looks like a very minute man, will he be enjoying himself with the lads in prison?

I think it's cute how he changed his name in a feeble attempt to sound less foreign.

Tommy was removed from general population and put on rule 43 for his own protection as I understand it, it seems likely tbh.
