Ha, at 5’ 9” he’d be the shortest Bond by an inch...Literary Bond: 6'
Connery 6' 2½"
Lazenby 6' 2"
Moore 6' 1"
Dalton 6' 2"
Brosnan 6' 1½"
Craig 5' 10"
Anyway, they make 4'11 Tom Cruise look like he's 6' in his movies, so it doesn't matter.

He'd be my pick too, but at 45 now, he'd be 47-8** at best by the time his first flick came out, that's a bit too old to be starting your action Bond career. I'd still like to see it, just not sure how long his run would be.
32-40 is around the perfect starting age for Bond now, imo. I'd also not mind if they did a handing-of-the-torch with the new Bond instead of rebooting, especially if they went with a younger guy. Have the new actor be an agent in the next film and Craig's Bond either dies or retires due to injury, handing over the 007 mantle. Like Judy Dench/Ralph Fiennes with the role of M.
**Sure Roger Moore did it at around that age, but those films were more tongue-in-cheek compared to where the franchise is now. I also think Roger Moore used the blood of orphans to keep his face looking younger/rigorous; that's not kosher in Hollywood anymore.
