The next James Bond?

Started by jaden_2.08 pages

5-10 years you'd have had a large pot to choose from for Bond but most of the obvious candidates are getting too old.

Tom Hardy is 47
Idris Elba is 52

I even think you'd be pushing it with...
Henry Cavill is 42
Dan Stevens is 42
Charlie Hunnam is 45
Theo James is 40

Mind you, if Keanu can do John Wick at 60, Bob Odenkirk can do Nobody at 62 then anything is possible.

They'd all be older than Daniel Craig was when he started as Bond but then how many movies could they realistically do starting in their 40s or even 50s

And no, Villeneuve shouldn't go with Timothee Chlamet.

Does this mean that Denis will largely be tasked with choosing the next Bond? That could be cool.

I'd assume he would have at least some input

With how long the Bond career can last, they'd be smart not casting anyone who would be older than 45ish when filming beings. Ideally no older than 40.

Tom Holland is the right age and British, but he's got too much of a babyface to Bond.

Liam Neeson was in his late 50s when he started his Bond-esque badass action hero schtick and he's been living off it for 17 years.

Then there's this bizarreathon coming out soon.

Nicholas Hoult, maybe

He's a solid pick too, got the look, he's taller and is a good actor.

True, but have you seen the downward slope in the quality of his films? I think he's just doing everything he can to bank in cash for his family before he has to retire or dies.

People need to stop giving Kevin James roles.

Jesus, I'm still nervous about him playing Paul Atreides in Dune Messiah. He's supposed to age 12 years and he's still going to look like a scrawny teenager.

So of course he shouldn't be Bond!

Also been seeing rumours of possibly Aaron Taylor Johnson is up for Bond.

^^^Honestly you’re right; i mean, there is no set standard here.
Some ppl age better than others.

Bond should be black to piss people off

Then they should kill him off in the first 5 minutes to piss even more people off. Then replace him with a woman, then a black women, then a trans woman, then a black trans woman, then a black trans disabled woman, then a furry, then an attack helicopter, then a sentient MAGA hat

This is a Bond series I would buy tickets for. 😂

The biggest enemy for a black James Bond driving an Aston Martin is that he'll keep getting stopped by the police on suspicion of being a drug dealer.

Thought that was an American thing.

That's okay. He can just quickly neutralize them and go about his business, no problem.

Yeah but the actual bad guy will be his biological father and he won't ever be able to find him.
