Poor Superman.

I was going to post that in Character Ownage a while back, but decided against it. Glad you read it Carver. 👆

The core of the Earth was hotter than Superman could make his heat vision.

Ahhhh....so if the most recent showing has Superman unable to survive the core of the planet Earth for long, it does not supersede other showings, because they are superior in number?

Interesting. mhmm

Does this apply to ALL characters, or is this one of those, only for Superman type things?

So? The writer made it clear only Superman was powerful enough to do that.

Even Supergirl casually went in the sun while Depowered and came up unscathed. Unlike say Mangog or mjolnir.

Superman wins.

Mocking Mjolnir/Mangog for dying in the Sun while defending Superman dying in Earth's core by bringing up a secondary character from a completely different comic.

😂

Yup, seems about right. 👆

His insecurity is screaming out for nearby predators to just pounce on this wounded animal.

Poor Superman. He still believes all this random shit about other characters doesn’t eventually happen to Superman as well. When it does he cries and flips out.

Superman didn't die though despite attacks from several artifacts which killed beings who created the universe itself.

Both mjolnir and Mangog died.

Lol depending on where in the Sun you are, Earth's core is actually hotter.

Just saying.....

Human Torch would murder Superman.

*Sniff* Is that desperation?

IIRC, Earth's core is somewhere between the chromosphere (Visible outer layer) and photosphere (Surface) in heat. The corona, the spiky, turbulent outer layer, (Similar to what we see destroy Asgard and engulf Thor 😄), gets MUCH hotter, hitting temperatures similar to the body of the Sun.

I just think it's hilarious, that even when using perhaps the dumbest moment in Thor comics that Abhiligend loves to reference, with this comic added into the mix? Superman wouldn't even be able to trim Thor's beard with all-out heat vision.

😂 😂

Oh damn, well, if Superman didn't DIE, that makes it okay then. 😂

It was specifically mentioned that the outer core was as hot as the surface of the sun but inner core was much more hotter.

And Hitch Superman would likely break Thor in half without trying, he was more powerful than the rest of the Justice League combined and several tiers above them.

Yes, seeing how even green lanterns going inside earth was called a suicide.

Who wrote that? Was that Priest too? Not a fan of dumbing down power in team books. I know Priest loves to keep top tier heroes "grounded".

Bryan Hitch. He wrote a stupidly overpowered Superman in comparison to the rest of the team.

Oh wow! So that was way before Priest. That's like early 2017 maybe 2016?

Anyways, it wasn't so bad. Iirc he struggled heavily, but he did survive in the end. Earth core is still crazee.

It's...... exactly what I said it was lol. Don't particularly care, am just pointing out.

Same way if someone quoted a comic that said Thor was as powerful as a nuke or something....and someone tried to down play it with potentially erroneous assumptions.

The possible misconception is that the Earth's core is cooler than the Sun, full stop. When in reality, it can be said to be hotter.

That's just how he viewed the power levels. Yet, Superman was more powerful than the rest of the league combined.

The timeless robots were strong enough to go through Lanterns like nothing and shrug off Diana as nothing with even Zeus struggling against them.

Superman overpowered several dozens of the same robots simultaneously.

And of course his fight with Molly the keeper who was channeling every power through the time at once and moving entire timeline of Earth at once.

Yeah, it was before Superman reborn. And it was pretty much power of creation since it was established in first arc that powers of magic, color, light is what created the universe.

Damn, when he is on roll there is nothing like Superman unleashed.

Rage would likely explode if Thor gets a showing like that.

So your point is that, the Earth's core is possibly as hot as a specific portion of the Sun but much cooler than the actual Sun?

Colossus might be stronger than 4 of the fingers on Superman's left hand, but it is also very accurate, and more relevant to say that Superman is much stronger than Colossus.

I get your point, but usually when people refer to the "Sun", they refer to the body of Sol. Not the thin "chromosphere".

No, pathetic would be this. Thor fearing for his life against a pool of magma.

http://i.imgur.com/prLJUiw.jpg

Thor going through Earth's core while tanking gravitational pulses strong enough to almost shatter the planet and then pushing 5 miles long devices would be one of his best feats ever.

On Superman, it's his lower than average showing.

Gotta love the hypocrisy.
