What does strawman argument mean and how it applies to Froth and Robtard, Josh?
A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent

It doesn't apply to Robtard and Froth, nor does it apply to me. However Froth is accusing me of making a straw man argument because I asked him to bring evidences.

Therefore, am using his own logic against him by telling him that he and Rob have been strawmanning since the thread started because all they've been doing is ask me to bring evidences.

First of all, it isnt an argument. It's a question. If you dont know the difference between an argument and a question then it doesnt surprise me that you dont know what strawmanning is

Either way, Strawman:

Strawmanning:

Example:

First off, questions can be part of arguments. Most arguments actually include questions. If you can't even figure this out then I shouldn't be surprised that you have no idea what a strawman is.

Secondly, it's easy to copy and past from google. How bout you give an example of a strawman argument using your own words. Let's see if you actually understood what you copy/pasted.

Lastly, prove how me and Rob were strawmanning.

The fact that it's part of an argument doesn't make it an argument! If you can't grasp that, then it doesn't surprise me that you can't grasp the massive fallacies you and Rob have been making all this time.

I asked a question, therefore I never made a strawman 'argument'.

If we are debating whether communism is good or bad, and I say that communism is bad because Venezuela is the worst country in the world, that would be a strawman argument.

The difference here Frothbyte, is that am asking a question not making an argument

Furthermore, you have presented no arguments from your behalf! Therefore how can i make a strawman argument, if you haven't even brought a single argument in this debate?

No arguments on my behalf? Are you blind or did you not just read the last 10 or so pages that people (me included) have laid out this argument over and over again:

SB overpowered the IG in a full, direct attack. The Power stone overpowered the mirror dimensions in a direct attack. Therefore, there's good reason to believe that SB can overpower the mirror dimension.

That has been our argument since the start. You replied with a "Well, prove that SB can produce purple energy just like the Power stone". That's a strawman, as there was never any argument that SB is exactly like the powerstone and its color has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Do you know what an argument is Frothbyte? Cause i am beginning to understand why you don't know what a strawman argument is.

Please, give me an example of an argument.

I already did. Read my Luke Cage example. I already told you that questions can be used within arguments. If what you're saying here is that your question is completely not part of the argument being had then I don't need to answer it because it adds nothing to the discussion. It would have as much relevance to this discussion as me asking you about the weather.

If that's what you're saying then you're right, it's not a strawman, it's now a red herring.

Stop twisting my words please. The fact that a question can pertain inside an argument doesn't mean a question is an argument. Please read carefully.

I'll make it simple for you, and argument is an opinion backed up with evidence.

Your opinion is that SB can replicate the powers/abilites of the Power Stone.

Now, can you please bring evidence to turn your opinion into an argument? In other words, prove that SB can replicate the things the Power Stone can do

There. Right there is you strawman. No one here ever claimed that SB can replicate the powers/abilities of any of the stones.

Thank you for making this easy for me.

Where exactly did Froth state that SB can replicate the things the Power Stone can do?

So you think trolling will safe your ass?

It didn't just "withstand" an attack by the powerstone, it outright overpowered it. Thanos didn't destroy an entire planet when he broke the mirror dimension so that's a complete strawman. Thanos used the powerstone in a direct, isolated attack against the mirror dimension and SB overpowered the powerstone (and 5 others) in a direct, isolated attack. Those 2 are directly comparable.

😂 😂

Clearly, very clearly you made a link between the Power Stone and Stormbreaker. You were saying (as I pointed out) that because Stormbreaker withstood an attack from the Power Stone, SB therefore can break the mirror dimension which was shattered by the Power Stone.

You are clearly saying that SB can replicate the Power Stone's feat on the Mirror Dimension.

😂

Well, at least it took Froth some time to call for back up.

Honestly Silent you are a bit late fellow, am just finishing to polish FrothByte's coffin.

Except as has already been pointed out, SB didn't just "resist" the IG's full blast nor did it just "withstand" it. It overpowered it.

More evidence!!!!

Honestly Frothbyte must be so desperate to make Thor win this, that he even compared the power of the IG with that of SB! He claims that SB's power is above that of the Gauntlet. 😂 What's next FrothByte? Thor killing the other half of the universe?

I see, you can't provide a quote so you're attacking the person that made the request.

That's known as ad hominem.

I can't provide a quote? Boy, bother yourself to scroll the page a bit up!

Attacking you? I meant no attack!

So... where did I say that SB can replicate the properties/abilities of the power stone?

I compared instances where both of them were utilized in a similar fashion, thus being directly comparable. I never said SB can replicate the powerstone.

The moment you said SB resisting PS and PS breaking Mirror Dimension are comparable! Is in your quote above.

So now you've gone from trolling to playing blind man 😂

I did look at all your previous posts and none of them contained a quote where Froth stated that SB can replicate power/abilities of the power stone.

Aaaand... there's another strawman.

Me: "A kick can overpower a punch."

You: "Prove to me that you can play a guitar with your feet."
