I guess I'm not surprised that no one here knows the difference between Force, Power, momentum, Kinetic Energy, and Pressure. These terms are all the same to the ignorant. The fact that you guys are quoting 313 million tons (a unit of force) proves it.The 313 million tons per square in
was units of pressure, not force. In the same post I clearly stated that the AVERAGE stopping FORCE was about 221 tons. Guess how much pressure a hypodermic needle exerts if it just laid on your skin upright (basically under the force of its own weight)?
55 tons per square inch. Don't forget that this is units of pressure (not force). The force would be its own weigh (about 2 Newtons).
And thus is h1's tactics are exposed. He searched for units of measurements he can manipulate/misrepresent to make something more impressive/not as impressive as it actually is. Kinda like using temperature to downplay "full force of a star". It's a weasel tactic. But what can one expect from a troll?
@h1: And yet your unit of pressure "math" is irrelevant as a) we don't trust your math and it looks like it is laden with assumptions and until you can refer us to a qualified source, we would just be free to ignore you and 2) there is no direct quantifiable "feats" or frames of references as that is a unit of measure that people are not willing/unqualified (and don't flatter yourself, you're not qualified to use it as well) to use. You might have well have said 2000 zillion billy-mikkies.
We have the correct value (42k foot-lbs) that everyone can extract on their own from reliable sources as a unit of measure to compare "feats" to use as a basis for their arguments. Especially since this is the unit of measurement for commonly used by ballistics experts in determining a weapon's effectiveness.
If you were a "scientist", you would have no objections to people referring to something they can actually use for a debate. Sadly, since you are a troll, most likely you will.
