I always got the impression there were certain things force ghosts couldnt tell.

For instance Qui-Gons ghost did not tell Yoda who Sidious was.

Yeah but Qui-Gon didn’t personally know that info when he was alive, this is something Anakin actually knows.

Ah I see. Youre saying they should be able to talk about stuff they knew when alive, but maybe dont talk about things theyve learned as ghosts... I can see the sense and logic there fitting with the no interference rule.

Some people are running with a theory that Vader will go through some kind of mind wipe after he goes to Exegol.

Aside from being a massive cop-out, that would also defeat the purpose of Palpatine's 'test' in this arc. What Vader finds on Exegol(and how he proceeds to handle it) will almost certainly play a huge role in his return to Palpatine's side.

Maybe this is what accounts for Vader's timidity and meekness in ROTJ regarding the Emperor.

👆

“You don’t know the power of the dark side. I MUST obey my master.”

Hope this is good it has lots of potential.

I think the "secrets" Vader discovers on Exegol will indeed play a huge part in his differing 'viewpoints' between films.

During ESB, Vader's underlying goal/plan was for Luke to join him in hopes of overthrowing Palpatine. By RotJ, however, his overall mindset seemed to have done a complete 180, and shifted to pure obedience(ie. "You don't know the POWER of the dark side. I MUST obey my master [...] The Emperor will show you the TRUE nature of the Force. HE is your master now.")

Vader's little "we'll rule together as father and son" plot had evidently been snuffed out by that point, and I think the current comic arc will flesh out the *why*.

Solicits for issue #11:

-As punishment for his rebellion, DARTH VADER was broken by THE EMPEROR, his limbs shattered, forbidden to use THE FORCE.
-But after surviving OCHI OF BESTOON, THE EYE OF WEBBISH BOGG and the horrors of THE RED NEBULA, Vader stands on the verge of uncovering the Emperor's greatest secrets.
-But will the revelations on EXEGOL empower Vader -- or his master? And what new doom awaits LUKE SKYWALKER as a result?

The last bullet point almost makes me go back to a theory I had a while ago: Vader not only discovers Palpatine's ability to transfer his essence, but also that he planned on using Luke as a vessel.

If so, then it might add quite a bit of [retroactive] context to this scene:
https://ibb.co/6NPwVPC
ie. Vader knew that if Luke would have struck Palpatine down in anger there(which he was fully prepared to do), Palps would have then transferred his essence into Luke's body... So Vader was lowkey saving Luke from that fate, under the guise of "protecting" his master.

Of course, that conclusion would also muddy the ST waters even more. Because if Palpatine could have used Luke as a vessel, then why in the hell wouldn't he have tried to use Kylo in a similar capacity, instead of spending decades on Exegol trying(and failing) to create a suitable clone body..? So I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this pans out. /shrug

Oh shit that could be really cool actually.

Think this would be pretty cool actually. Would add some pretty good depth to the scene.,

I just saw this cover for Vader#11.

Are these Sheev's cultists?

Link isn't working for me, but here's the cover:

Given the solicits for the issue that I posted above(wherein Vader is said to discover Palpatine's "greatest secrets"😉, it seems like the characters shown on the cover will either be the Sith cultists/heretics on Exegol, or perhaps some of the ancient Sith that Palpatine is acting as a vessel for(or at least attempting to act as a vessel for as of the ESB era.)

The link works for me on my laptop, but not on my phone. That's weird.
Anyway, it might be a vision or something like that. Or just a misleading cover.

Definitely could be. 👆

But given that Vader will be on Exegol uncovering Palpatine's secrets in that issue, there will probably be something very "real" to it, imo.

Issue #10 preview:

Is that supposed to be Sly Moore?

Yep:

Oh, Sly moore is doing stuff in canon

I'm not really getting this whole Imperials fighting Vader thing...like why? It's one thing if its a coup, but then isn't that it seems...
