One similarity (or sort of) is both of them are essentially 100% stable. Death Seed Sentry had no Void in his mind**, this Sentry has seemingly merged with the Void which removes the fear element. Since the concept of the Void doesn't really exist in the same way now.
**Death Sentry was confirmed to still be mentally ill, though the Void wasn't present. While it hasn't been said so for current Sentry he seems very focused but not deluded.
If I was pushed I'd have to say current Sentry is more powerful. But it's a interesting thing to discuss that's for sure, Death Seed Sentry did some awesome things. One of the more interesting was being a part of stopping Exitar. Tooling Thor multiple times.
But this Sentry was also very impressive. Similar to Death Seed Sentry he wasn't out to kill any of them (though Death Seed Sentry did in the end decide that killing Thor was the best way to go on with the "plan"馃槈. Was the oppsoition that Death Seed Sentry faced in just Thor greater than what current Sentry faced in the Avengers team. Thor isn't what he once was but he is backed up by a lot of others. He showed an extreme display of power how he completely dismissed Thor and Danvers. Dealt with She-Hulk like she was nothing. Straight up snapped Scouts wrists.
It's all very interesting to discuss.

DS always wins. His mindset is also key here. He's willing to fight, and go all out.
That's true with Death Seed Sentry yeah but we can''t really say the same for current Sentry yet without another situation arising. As his only appearance and he wasn't fighting to kill (Scout he killed because he was being rotted or whatever). I imagine if it was a life and death situation (if either of these 2 could die really then I don't see current Sentry not be willing to go all out.
But this version of Sentry is so new anything beyond this is hypothesising. So I'll stop myself now before I get to crazy.
Complete Sentry was so powerful the Avengers weren't a threat to him. He didn't fight them so much as he just brushed them aside. He didn't kill them because he's not a complete psychopath and the Avengers, though misguided from his point of view in their attempt at stopping him, ultimately just want to help people. Compare to how he treated Billy, his former sidekick. Literally snapping his neck, because he's become a threat to the world ("I really wish you hadn't said that Billy"馃槈. And I'd wager he cared about Billy more than he cared about the Avengers.
So against a completely off the chain DS Sentry I can't imagine him holding back any, so the difference in ruthlessness IMO wouldn't matter much in this context.
Can't comment on power levels. Haven't seen enough as others have said.
We saw an example of current Sentry's ruthlessness in dealing with Billy and straight up killing Cranio. And remember Sentry long before this sin't beyond having to kill if its what needs to be done. Like when he one shotted Terrax for example.
Death Seed Sentry is only hyper aggressive to anyone who is threatening the Earth, he wasn't always aggressive though. But presuming he is for this fight and current Sentry I think would be equally as determined. If he knew it was either him or Death Seed Sentry then I don't think he'd be as kind as he was to the Avengers.

It'd go like this:Complete Sentry is surprised by how focused DS is and won't stop to take a breath, but eventually he starts overpowering him. Before the things can get settle a Space Worm appears and wtf-pwns both of them. As the Sentries go down they whine "why can't worms be more like Owen"
All hail the Shai-Hulud.
I don't think it matters. I don't consider all of these Sentry's incarnations a power up/down, more like a state of mind of the same mentally unstable character. This isn't the first time Sentry re-discovers his "true" power. It's just this time he "merged" with Void who was always a part of him anyway. IMO it's always the same batsht crazy and uber powerful character that manifests his abilities in a different way depending on his state of mind at the moment.

Eh, I don't see Void as a separate entity, but a mental one, so 'no Void' for me is basically him being mind-altered into Death Sentry.
Oh yeah sure I just at that time meant quite literally what I typed. But it was a bit ill-fitting int he conversation. I agree with your point too.
