Red is also fast enough to fight evenly with guys like Kroenen and Nuada. And has a few quickdraw feats. Voldemort gets shot and yeah I'm iffy believing you can even use a killing curse on the Prince of Hell.
Other than the last part yeah basically this.

I'm not willing to give Hellboy the benefit of the doubt and say he can tank the killing curse, but Voldemort similarly couldn't tank one of Hellboy's super high impact bullets to anywhere on his body, and even if he survives due to horcruxes he will be phucked up long enough for a forum win. And ultimately, Hellboy is quicker than Voldemort is.

He didn't just beat Kroenen, he basically dominated him.

He was even doing insanely well against Nuada while in his final death throes. And only lost the first fight due to the surprise of his spear shooting off inside him. And iirc using his own sister as a hostage.

Also Hellboy was drunk for their first fight.

Voldemort wins.

That movie wasnt as good as the first, but HB had some GREAT fights, way better than the original outing.

They should have made a 3rd movie instead of doing a reboot. But Del Toro can never get his shit together.

I think Perlman was also getting too old to keep the character going.

Perhaps, but if Harrison Ford can make another Indiana Jones movie you'd figure Ron had one more Hellboy in him...Harrison Ford is like a walking mummy kept alive by dark magic.

Lol but Indy's stunts and makeup were far less intensive iirc. Perlman was spending like 12 hours a day in the chair and doing most of his own stunts in his 60's.

I actually thought he might be too old when first got the part, but also thought he’d be perfect, and he was.
He got to play the character four times, so thats awesome.
