And that is the difference in the narrative of this thread at least.
If someone in that group proud boys goes extreme right and splinters and does a rally which is racist and ugly, people recognize that immediately and call it for it is.
When people from that term sjw goes extreme left and joins Antifa, they aren't disavowed in the same manner.
Hence the problem we have today with the extreme on both sides. Since 1994 the rift has only grown wider especially with more tolerance given to the folks on the left becoming less and less tolerant (which was their calling card early in the 90's.)
