We clearly see him susceptible to physical attacks. He resisted nothing he was blown up.
If you believe he can resist a physical attack and the function of the spell the onus is on you. I use evidence I need something from you not just your opinion.

Oh it can shatter stone too, yet shockingly does ZERO damage to the physical form of living beings. There aren't any marks on them or broken bones from getting hit with stone shattering force. They are just dead.
