I mean Anakin said AOTC Obi-Wan = Mace Windu.
Doesnt make it true.
Mace implied Obi-Wan is a better swordsman than himself. Again isnt true, and neither is Mace a liar.
They’re completely different situations, Thor. It’s a lot easier to think that X is better than Y with a lightsaber when they’re not (especially when factoring in biases), than it is to misremember someone pulling down a monstrous 300m+ sized ship out of the sky. We know for a fact that Obi-Wan isn’t as good as Mace based on feats and Lucas’ own word, but there’s been no such contradiction made in Hord’s case.
Fact is, there’s no real reason to doubt Khem as a source. While there’s still a little ambiguity surrounding the feat, we have no reason to believe our didn’t happen unless you can prove that Val was lying, being tricked, or was taking DMB’s LSD.
We don't. But the fact that it was 'in the sky', mean's there's a high probability that it was moving - likely at a decent speed - so I doubt prep was involved. Are we going to chalk this up to 'muh' nexus now?
I'm going for the simplest explanation, and attributing Hord's success to a set of highly favourable circumstances is speculation that simply isn't pointed to. We have more reason to believe he legitimately did do it.
