You describe what amounts to a complete shitshow. What can you expect to happen to your economy under these no-deal exit and no set plans to reestablish trade deals?

What are the two other countries? Curious.

The UK is ****ed in that scenario Rob. Jaden is spot on in everything he wrote!

One of them is Syria because their deal with the EU was suspended during the war and hasn't been reinstated. Think the other might have been South Sudan simply because they haven't been around long enough to do deals.

The pathetic thing is there is no deal to be done. The UK's has a list of red lines it will not break in pursuit of a deal. These things (end to the 4 freedoms of movement, no involvement of the European Court of Justice, no regulatory alignment of standards, no financial contributions to the EU, must have an independent trade policy) mean that it can't have close ties to the EU.

I'm guessing that's why so many Tories are going against their own party. They see the greater shitshow in leaving now clearly

People keep saying "The UK", and while they're not technically wrong, it really is more like England is the only one that might really benefit from all of this (if anyone does at all).

There's no reason to believe Northern Ireland is going to improve its situation any time soon, and I could easily see Scotland wanting to hold another referendum, after which they might, if they gain their independence, try to join the EU. As for Wales... Well, who knows.

The referendum was entirely about trying to appease the anti-european block within the Tory party. The plan was to give them the referendum and that they would lose and so shut them up and get them to stop rebelling against their own government and voting against their legislation.

Boris Johnson saw his opportunity in that. His only ambition ever was to be Prime Minister. That was the end in and of itself. Most people who aim to rise high in politics you would think do so from a desire to improve their country. Not Boris. He has never expressed any motivation other than to become Prime Minister. Now that he is he has no idea what to do. His entire cabinet is filled with sychophants who kissed his arse in the media during the leadership race. Many of them have been fired under previous governments for incompetence, corruption and even conducting secret meetings with foreign countries against the interests of the UK.

So this is why Boris looked like a man walking to the gallows when he gave the victory speech after the "yes" vote won.

He's an opportunist. Before the referendum was announced he wrote an article for the Times newspaper (which wasn't published until after the referendum) entitled My Case for Britain Staying in Europe.

He then realised that there was a lack of established "big names" in his party backing the Leave position and so if Leave won and the Prime Minister resigned there would be few challengers to run for leadership.

Of course, in the wake of the result, all those more prominent Leave backers in the Tory Party knew they couldn't fulfill any of their promises they made during the campaign and so one-by-one they dropped out. Leaving Theresa May to negotiate a deal they all knew was impossible by their own design because of their red lines.

As the deadline got closer and closer and May kept being unable to get the only deal that could be done through parliament and failed numerous times because it's a terrible deal eventually she had to resign.

Now there's so little time left that all Boris has to do is run the clock down, make his millions speculating on currency devaluations then blame it all on Theresa May not leaving enough time to get a deal.

To give you an example of what they're really like. His Leader of the House, Jacob Rees-Mogg, lives in a 100 room country estate and by all accounts is the richest man in Parliament. He campaigned for Brexit saying it would be great for the UK economy while at the same time moving his Investment company to Ireland to avoid the consequences of Brexit.

John Redwood, a prominent Tory and former minister is still going on TV saying how a No Deal brexit will bring great opportunities for the UK while giving speeches to private dinners of hedge fund managers telling them to move their funds out of the UK before the economy collapses because of Brexit.
.

I'd just like to say something....

Robtard, ..,.. I ****ing hate you.

The behaviour of John Redwood throughout his time in Parliment is based purely on lies, he and IDS may be the cruelest most disingenuous politicians in modern British history.

Seems like you're painting a picture of the already rich and powerful profiting off a crashing economy while the people are left to pick up the scraps and rebuild.

We had similar happen here.
