Putin probably felt that Trump would have had an easier chance of beating a frail senile looking old Jewish man labelled as a "socialist!" over Clinton. She did win the popular vote against Trump, afterall, so more Americans wanted her than Trump.

When Shortly before and shortly after the primaries, the models correctly predicted Hillary would lose against Trump. But those models predicted Bernie would comfortably beat Trump. The margins were absurd.
Russia would have known about this.
Why did Russia support Bernie so hard? Between Trump and Hillary, it was almost a pure 50-50 split, pro and anti. But Bernie's ads, from the Russians, were almost 100% pro.
It's odd. Something doesn't add up. Did Bernie have a deal with Russia?

You're not factoring in the spin-machine Russia could have had to use against Sanders. Putin was also open about who he favored, it was Trump.
If you want to believe Putin wanted Sanders over Trump and that Sanders had some back-door-deal with Putin, go ahead. I find it silly.

But Bernie's ads, from the Russians, were almost 100% in support of Bernie Sanders.
My question is: why was Russia trying to get Bernie elected so hard?
