Does God Ki give you access to breath in space?
Does God Ki give you access to breath in space? It should have. And you can clearly see that where Goku and Beerus were fighting was in the upper atmosphere of the planet. Meaning Goku would've had zero oxygen there.
Still he kept on fighting.
It could've even been explained as seeing the SSG form granted healing capabilities, then Goku breathing in space was simply the body converting Ki into Oxygen.
But as we saw after Beerus, Saiyajins even with god Ki they can't survive in the vacuum of space.
When Frieza destroys the Earth, it was Whis barrier that kept everyone in the area alive.
But Vegeta died all the same.
Yes, Vegeta should've survived all the same by simply creating a Ki sphere which would contain enough oxygen for him to seek out Whis.
Even when Goku goes to retrieve the crystal Bulma needed to build another time machine, he needs to wear a suit because of the heat and lack of oxygen.
So it is more than clear that Saiyajins, even in their god forms, they can't survive in the vacuum of space.

Huh, you'd think their invulnerbility would protect them from temperature extremes and vacuum, at the least.

Problem is that they clearly don't possess even that. And by that I mean invulnerability.
They are quite vulnerable. Moro showed how much they are vulbe and even weak to magic.
Maybe that's why Toriyama decided that Moro power absorption had to be retconned and why he never used other kinds of magic. After all Moro was introduced as being this powerful magic user, and he only had a few tricks up his sleeve.
And funny enough Moro could survive in the vacuum of space while Saiyajin still can't do it.
