Needed an early morning fap. 👆So Mxy gives Calendar Man a hat that allows him to slide forward and backward in the comic book panels themselves -- and even manipulate those events to an extent(side note: since when has CM hit hard enough to rock Superman, lol?)
But the even more impressive piece of 5D tech that Mxy gave him was the "crossing off pen", which can completely alter the narrative/plot of the story itself by simply drawing an "X" over it, lol.
DC has been pretty consistent about writing Mxy to a very high level for quite a while now. That's at least one thing they've gotten right. 👆

Originally posted by abhilegendAs I mentioned on the last page, the hat Mxy gifted to Calendar Man was not his own personal hat. It was a replica/knockoff that essentially just gave CM one of Mxy's metafictional abilities: to perceive the comic book panels and move in between them:
Yes
So just because Mxy's personal derby hat contains a universe, doesn't mean the knockoff hat he gave CM contained a universe as well... Because, again, they are not the same item.
...This is aside from the fact that I don't believe Mxy's hat actually possesses universe-weight anyway.

Yeah, okay, my bad for wording it out like that.
You did make it sound as if something was retconned, though. And I wanted to avoid causing any confusion in order to better help our young and beautiful Pr here.
Before Original Sin, it was mentioned a few times how Fury was running low on the formula and yes, once he eventually ran out of it completely, he had no choice but to rely on LMDs, which were always designed to look like him at his prime:
From Original Sin #6.
Which goes perfectly with the first appearance of the formula:
From Marvel Spotlight #31.
Now, if we want to talk about actual retcons, bad retcons... retconning most of Dum Dum Dugan's canonical history into being an advanced LMD was a horrible decision.
What, nobody really noticed all these years? 😂

Our lord and savior may not always know *why* he's arguing something, but every now and then he inadvertently finds himself on the right track. 👆
Looks like there are more plans with Empty Hand.

Dum being a LMD hurt but makes sense considering how low Nick stooped. My thing is how he used up the formula...what it when he helped Buck? Or since someone mentioned Mockingbird didn't he use the SS serum he gave her? Or was that someone else
