Read the comics.Watch the show.
Thank me later.
Reading the comics and then watching the show is like reading off of wikipedia before watching the season. He'd get bored really fast knowing what's going to happen - especially since some parts are really slow.

oohh i actually forgot about that..never really watched the series or the comics, but negan radiates bad ass aura, and as tough as he is, he's coming at them with a bat? the girl does have a gun right?
The TV show arguably is worse then the comic. Fear the Walking Dead spinoff is completely missable.
Comic is ok, if overrated. Goes downhill post Negan arc, ending was disappointing. And
Spoiler:
we never do find out what caused the outbreak.

But the show also makes quite a few change ups, has original characters, and even does entirely original deviations.

Good point, show before comic.

Not a good point at all, is his opinion.Probably better off alternating. Maybe start with a show arc, follow up on the comic, that way they'll be fresh in mind to compare and you won't get too bored of one over the other.
You're a phucking idiot though so nothing you say matters.

Yeah, but it's pretty much the same if you first watch the show, then get into comics...
Either one "spoils" you and ruins the experience.
No way of having a cake and eating it too.

There is no "arguably". It is worse.

Which makes perfect sense, considering how Kirkman stated hundreds of times in the letter columns how he tries his best to stay true to the father of the zombie genre, George A. Romero.
Revealing the source is a recipe for bad zombie flicks. Some things better remain a mystery.
Originally posted by StiltmanFTWYeah, they both spoil the other. But reading 2-3 hours of comics spoils like 150 hours of show, while watching 150 hours of show spoils only 3 hours of comics. I'd rather not watch 150 hours where I know what's going to happen.

I see the point you're making here, sure, but let's not kid ourselves --- fans of the source material almost always end up watching the adaptations, no matter how long or how lacking in quality they might be.
The other way round? Not so often, unfortunately.

Yeah, if we look at who goes comics -> show rather than show -> comics it's really unbalanced.
👆
Exactly.
Same with books and movies...

Funnily enough even as a comics reader I still watched the show first. I did give up right around the end of the Governor, though, and I just watched random scenes on youtube with Negan.
😂
And I gave up on the show sometime after Negan was introduced.
I'd say that Comics Negan... or, rather, the whole arc in general, is much superior in the books - poor Galan just had a heart attack because of your post, "I just watched random scenes on youtube with Negan", send him your thoughts & prayers on fb or he's not gonna make it 🙁
