Lmao... don't feel sympathy for me, Saint because you absolutely do not do a thing to me. You just give me a bad taste in my mouth because you tend to have this same kind of mentally to others here. There are just people that either have some level of maturity and there are some that is lacking in that area and sorry to say this but your maturity level is absent. Kind of like ABHI who calls everyone he debates against stupid and idiot. Wouldn't expect that kind of behavior from someone who is in their 30s or above.

There are people here who can actually debate like normal adults (I can name them if you want) and then there are people that, well...

I just don't see people like Galan, Digi, Bada, ODG, Endless Mike, hell, even QW (and he is in his 20s) screaming out idiot and dumb. Hope your not sharing this kind of mentality with people around you. It's kind of toxic.

Ok.

Btw, Endless Mike DID kinda call you dumb, lol.

http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f77/t680447.html

I mean, not explicitly, but then if it helps you feel better that he thought you were high up on a list that includes Rhino, so be it.

But you know what? Sure, ok. Be at peace, Carvy. I'm not stopping because of whatever feelings you may or may not have - my own conscience is feeling guilty about kicking puppies when they're down and don't know it.

Ok, I take back my statement about Endless and Galan.

Carver you idiot 😆 . Also Wonder Woman almost got killed by a bullet that bounced off from the kryptonian you mentioned.

And Wonder Woman is >>>>>>Hulk by your own admission. So a random bullet > Wonder Woman>>>>>>>>Hulk LMAO

See how this play out?

I mean. I do envy you sometimes, tbh. After all this time, you genuinely believe you have something worthwhile to contribute, and that optimism is admirable.

Keep at it, Carv. Just don't expect others to buy what you're selling.

The numbers given are:

- Time

- Number of people evacuated
- Speed

If we don't assume time travel, at least one of these numbers is wrong, but we don't know which one.

If we do assume time travel, all of them can be right.

Time travel is a known Flash ability.

So I think it's the most parsimonious explanation.

I agree that there's multiple possible interpretations, and yours with time travel is quite possibly the most elegant way to sort all the variables out. And it's an insane feat for Flash to go from a standing position to time-travelling and then repeat -- thousands of times over in that small increment of time.

I think another easy solution is to not argue over the variables given [i.e. time/distance doesn't jibe with near-light speed], put them aside, and just simply take the feat itself at face value -- he evacuated, after a nuclear explosion has taken off, the city of Chongjin.

In either interpretation, we either have the most insane spamming of time-travel, or we change a few 0s here and there and just give a ballpark for the speed.

Either way, in both instances, it's faster than light, obviously.

Lol at this list especially Bada

Bada is angelic. What do you mean?

No he's not. He talks as much shit as the rest of us actually.

Nobody ever says I'm angelic, Bada gets all those props because he's a feathered lizard

30.

Average age of this forum is now maybe 15-20 years older than your average comic book reader.

I always thought you were older.

It's crazy how many of us are around 30.

Which is why people will soon stop posting. Different time demands, life goes on.

Yeah, ok. Here’s what I said a few pages ago:

The feat should just be disregarded. Darksaint’s argument is the only interpretation that avoids contradicting the narrator but it’s such a technical way to read a poorly written scene.

It shouldn’t be held up as proof of Flash’s speed but it should be held up as proof that comic book editors are useless.

The Reddit thread relies on some variables given by the narrator (distance, time, population) but selectively ignores another variable (travel speed) to recharacterize the feat.

But you can’t have it both ways. Either we can rely on the narration or we can’t. It’s just bad writing.

and I still think ignoring the feat is the best route where possible since the narration undermines the panels, making the overall weight you can place on the showing… limited.

But if you’re determined to sort out where this feat sits within Flash’s overall catalogue, then Phil’s take is persuasive.

As I said, in my view you can’t rely on part of the narration and ignore another part. If the narrator isn’t reliable when he says “below lightspeed” then the other variables aren’t reliable either. And the time travel theory is elegant in a way but it’s also just fan headcanon (and merely a theory).

But Phil’s right - if you chuck out the specific variables entirely, the feat is just super C on its face. Mid-nuke, a cityful of people are seemingly simultaneously rescued from the city.

You mean post nuke sneer

But yeah - all I've ever said was that it was FTL. My theory was a way of addressing the various statements.

I just wanted it FTL, and that's fine.

👆

Time travel is head canon-y and it introduces some crazy off panel stuff like people carying Flash clones that kind of takes me out of it, even if it streamlines the variables.

You all just fear what I'd argue with a time clone army.
