Hulked-up Thor is not even some original idea.

It happened years ago during the World War Hulks arc.

That Hulk sucked though.

Almost as much as Hulk Cap when he fought Hulk Wolverine (Was that even Steve or Walker? Because if it was Steve he was uncharacteristically buffoonish, even if he was a Hulk)

Metal did hulk-out in that story arc, hence why his arm became huge and even grew some spikes on it. It was impossible to miss:
