More than maybe any other mainstream team/corner of comics, the X stories were linked to social politics at the time of writing, which made them really compelling but maybe not as timeless as, say, a good Batman detective tale. Things needed to change to inject some oxygen into the stories and a fresh take on the mutant/human, mutant/mutant dynamic.
Plus Hickman brought the X-Men back to the forefront of Marvel’s sci fi. I’m surprised that his reboot of the series still feels like it’s going strong after three years but I’m happy about it.

Doesn't the word "femtosecond" only indicate a time unit, not necessarily means speed? IOW, the speed it is more about the distance the object moved in a time unit.
Hmm, I don't think Cyborg means its moving sub-lightspeed at the time it hits the target. Because light can only travel 300 nanometers in a femtosecond
In one femtosecond, light travels just 300 nanometers — about the size of the biggest particle that can pass through a HEPA filter, and just slightly larger than the smallest bacteria
So it is more likely Cyborg was talking about it's acceleration, not the speed its moving at that time
