Exactly. 👆

Wonder if it stops Solar Flare/blinding flash of light type attacks too? The Null Field should probably make him deaf AND blind.

And forget about a sex life.

Exactly. Low level attacks can get through, the trick is not to do the usual BZ thing of MAXIMUM POWAH, and anyone can take him out. Even a telekinetic could take him out - just pinch his blood vessels shut, or choke him etc.

It's always been about low energy attacks, but for some reason people can't wrap their hands around it.

The problem with Goku wasn't so much about power, but the nature of his attacks.

I mean take away the ki and he's a hard karate specialist. And the field saps energy.

No grappling to fall back on and no real offensive TK or esoteric powers means he's in a bad match up.

*Ahem* Although there is ONE way. Just one

Remember that scene from Xmen First Class where Magneto very slowly sent a coin through Shaw's head? Goku should be able to do that trick with his power pole.

The thing can extend to the moon, he should be able to aim at Wundarr's head or chest and have it slowly skewer him.

The fight was set during the Saiyan Saga.

@DarkSaint

Is Jay the only Flash who can still operate at super-speed even without the access to Speedforce?

So how does he get his super speed then?

Yeah, I think so.

So he's a meta.

https://screenrant.com/jay-garrick-flash-no-speed-force-comic/

In the pages of The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1, Garrick remains the only active speedster. While trying to stop a runaway truck of explosives, he hits a plateau, remarking to himself, "Out of breath...not getting slower...but not getting faster either. There's no Speed Force to tab...tougher to keep up." Garrick's speed comes from pure inertia, and despite being ranked the second-fastest man alive (second only to Barry Allen), he doesn't necessarily need to tap into the Speed Force for any reason other than to sustain his own energy, as well as gain an additional boost, although its effects have resulted in his slowed aging. As Jay Garrick proves, some speedsters don't need just the Speed Force to be one of the fastest people alive.

Kind of dumb. What's even the point of the speed force if any meta can have speed.

So what happened, another reboot?

I'm so glad I only read old goid stuff now. 2008-2017 IDW was peak comic book story telling.

In The New 52, Jay's origin was altered. He gained his speed as a divine blessing from the god, Mercury. He also displayed the ability to manifest his uniform at will, heal at an accelerated rate, and approach near-lightspeed fairly easily.

Kind of like that origin actually.

Shazam and Jay would be boon bros.

So I think I've read most of the core issues of Hickman's X-Men run and I have to say, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Swords of X kinda let me down a bit but the set-up was very fun to read.

I hadn't bothered getting into it until recently because I was initially turned off by how much flipping back and forth that House of X/Powers of X did and had zero interest in Moira MacTaggert when the run first started. But now I realize Hickman was doing that dual narrative thing he did with Avengers/New Avengers.

And even though this run was much more focused -- can't get expansive than obliterating the entire Marvel Multiverse -- I have to say I liked that localized aspect of it. Everything revolving around Moira, Xavier, Magneto, Nimrod, Mystique, Destiny,

Spoiler:
and ultimately Omega Sentinel, Doug Ramsey and Warlock in several twists
was genius.

I really hope to hear at some point what Hickman's original ending to his run was. But I fully understand now why everyone at Marvel was like, "No please, don't end this, we're having too much fun with this new status quo you set up and our improved sales... we wanna keep playing in this sandbox."

Now if that n1gga could just conclude S.H.I.E.L.D. at some point... bawling

It's currently the best thing in comics, for me. The whole introduction of Arakko, the terraforming and colonisation of Mars, even something as silly as the Hellfire Gala are all concepts I am enjoying.

So....golden age Red Lantern

Yellow Lantern Qwerty, defend me from the Black Lantern Corps in the Cunt Nefaria thread 😖hifty:

'Deadliest man in Russian history '. Samzed would have something to say about that.

LIES!

1. Infinity Man was acting as an agent of The Source. His DOTNG power level does not reflect his normal power level.

2. Darkseid banished Infinity Man in the first place, with his Omega Effect.

Case in point:

And it happens a second time, in the pages of Superman:

Ducking arsehole hack writers spreading lies.
