Could you imagine a Marvel-wide event that killed the Avengers, teased multiversal Kang, Mephisto, Chaos King, Dark Phoenix, Dormammu, Hela, Thanos, Doctor Doom and the climax of the storyline is the New Mutants punching out an amped Deadpool who gained the power of classic Beyonder???

Anyway, looks like DC is virtue signaling Hulking Jon Kent and killing Hawkeye Green Arrow for what I’m sure will last all of 3 months…

… thank god for KMC that neither Lucifer nor Mandrakk had anything to do with Dark Crisis.

Lol we nearly got that with Logan stabbing the Progenitor. So close.

Superman didn’t need saving lol. He broke out Ganthet’s containment field and knocked him out with a single punch.
If anything mxy stopped the fighting and saved the GL Corp.

So he got a boost from war world’s white sun. Wonder how long that will last.

Lol Mxy literally says he won't let them hurt Supes.

Mxy was speaking to Ares, there.

Does anyone think it's time for Billy to grow up? I was just reading some solicits for DC comics in 2023 and one of the books that caught my eye is Shazam new ongoing. It's supposed to be light and comedic. I'd really wish DC would abandon the boy/man dynamic and have him age. If only for a little bit. I think it'd be a unique take. He can still be cheesy but with an adult nod. Thoughts?

It can't be worse then what they did to him in the New 52, all bratty and cynical.

Still wouldn't be him, but as far as I'm concerned Fawcett Captain Marvel died ever since the post crisis era ended.

"You should listen to the little Batman, Ares....I won't let you hurt them".

Ares was clearly able to manipulate Superman. Mxy stops that.

My point being, this goes a long way towards establishing Superman's guardian angel Mxy looking after him in fights. Which is a good reason why Superman fluctuates so much in comics - one issue he fights Toyman, the next he is beating Mongul powerless etc etc

It's a 5D imp powering him and letting him struggle for the fun of it.

Short-term? Sure, why not. Though New-52 showed us that editorial mandate doesn't mean shit to DC writers, so you'd likely see them still write him exactly the same anyway.

wildcats comic next year has mr majestic in it

almost year end, dc this year has been terrible

didn't read marvel so don't know

Good point about mxy making things fun for him. But ares was manipulating everyone. Everyone was acting irrationally, the green lanterns were ready to throw down and the guardians tried to cage Superman so he wouldn’t interfere with their plans to kill billions.

Wonder does the same theory apply to Wayne although his imp seems less active

I think so. That would then explain why he struggles with Two Face one week, then is fighting WW the next - it's BatMite surreptitiously making things challenging (or 'fun' in the imp's eyes) for him. But eventually, Batman WILL win, even if it takes Round 2 or whatever.

^ "making things challenging"

ah, this theory conveniently lets DS toss out the low showings but preserve the high showings as the true Batman

unless it's BatMite surreptitiously making WW weaker...
