No.

Banner, post-Planet Hulk and WWH arcs, stated that it's beyond his (and Skaar's) power to break adamantium.

He can damage secondary adamantium/alloys of adamantium, but that's it.

All those years you were gone, Wolverine triumphed everywhere.

Not against Torch!! Who Parker has humiliated constantly!!

Whatever!!!!

Whos you guys favorite xmen member and why?

I saw Pr talking about this a few weeks back, but didn't think anything of it at the time... I didn't realize that ALL X-Men titles had been cancelled, and the reigns have been turned over entirely to Hickman, who will reforge the whole damn X-Men mythos. Crazy.

...I wonder why? Are they trying to put down some new building blocks in the comic line, in preparation for the Muties inevitably appearing in the MCU, or what..? 😕

My guess is that with Bendis leaving and the inevitable Fox deal, they've been trying to bring the X-Men back in to focus after basically trying to shove them in to the back of the universe for a while. The problem is that it was no small task.

Cyclops, Wolverine, Xavier and Jean were all dead at pretty much the same time (and if the X-Men have a... Quadrinity? Is that a word? it's them), and gimmicks like the Future Five and trying to shove characters like Shadowcat in to prominence just weren't working to get people on board the way they used to.

Some really bad attempts at adding new villains didn't help either.

X-Men for a while, though, even going back to the mid 00s, has basically been "let's throw every stupid idea at the wall and see what sticks", instead of say, what they do with other books where they go back to an older villain and use them as a kind of safety net for their stories.

Hickman is just another attempt to reboot things and see if that finally works, imo.

Initially it was the visual of shooting beams out of your face, but as I got older, Cyclops is the guy I identified with most. Out of all of the original X-Men, he's, at least at first glance, the most average or unexceptional. He wasn't rich or charming like Angel, smart like Beast, as loved as Jean or as laid back and "cool" as Iceman. He's just a guy. Sure, he happens to be good at training and leading people, but that's a skill or talent more than a personality quirk.

Plus, our personalities match up quite a bit. He's awkward as ****, but then again so am I.

What about you? Logan? Or is that avatar just a placeholder?

Magneto - because he is willing to do anything to protect his people, even it means being the bad guy

And... Wolverine hasn't...?

Johnny is always considered to be the weakest member of the Fantastic Four. No wonder he's the only one Parker can handle.

Who hasn't humiliated HT, I ask you?

Wolverine wins again, baby. Blow him.

As much as I might think Magneto is wrong, I can see why people say he's right. When he's done properly, he's arguably the best written villain comics.

When he's done properly, yes.

And when he's not high. Like when he was drugged on Kick.

MGH might affect his judgement, too.

Yeah, that was why I added the qualifier. Magneto done badly is far too common, imo.

That's because great many people --- not just Marvel writers --- are not capable of seeing the world in other colors than black and white.

That's also why we should reduce our numbers a good deal.

He has depth and a real drive. He wants to do good but if you push him hard, he will push back. Then keep pushing.

Mags is just unlucky.

He always encounters the very worst humanity can offer on his path.

Auschwitz is the prime example of that. Nobody can fully recover from such experience.

Yeah, there's so little subtlety and nuance anymore. Even among the X-Men you could ask so many ethical and philosophical questions, but no, let's do another shallow story about how the X-Men for no reason are being picked on by a bunch of bigots.

Not enough writers know how to write the difference between intent and methods.

If there's anything I can ever criticize Morrison for, it's making Magneto an oven shover.

Quentin Quire would be another favorite.
He's just an unrepentant *******, and I love that about him.

Quentin is basically Bran.

Remember how Cyclops channelled full Prforce through his eyes, hitting Mags' face point-blank, with Mags suffering only some minor skin burns?
