But I can use 'tirade' in a sentence, so that's something.

Then word you're thinking of is analogue, not analogy.

This is why it's so hard to have a conversation with you, because you try to act smarter than you are.

I think what you're stumbling over here, sweet Astner, is that an analogue is a person or thing used for comparison, while an analogy is the comparison. So when I said "there has to be a good analogy for that", I did not mean "there has to be a good analogue", but your confusion is understandable. In fairness to you, the sentence works with either phrasing.

Unless, I suppose, the reader is a regular ol' Nostradamus.

Asstner needs to post a matlab graph asap, people are catching on.

What you're thinking of is a word, not an analogy. Which, ironically, makes you pretentious.

😂 Finally, someone else notices.

I can laugh at this in spite of Astner effectively calling me childish for asking for a Switch for Christmas, because I can accept he's totally right and I'm pretty childish. I have childish friends who bought one of the things and lets their father and sister play it, plus collects Transformers toys, dignity isn't the highest priority in my social circles. 🙂 (And to ward off man child images, the father is happily retired and the big kid son holds down a full time job and is socially capable, even had two women fighting over him in his younger days..)

But yeah, he burned Mr. "Mock people for being stupid as though my shit don't stink" Dark. And he deserves it.

He never said that directly about me though. Wouldn't surprise me if he did, but people say a lot of things about me that aren't true.

He did say that about Carver. "My wife asked if that really stupid poster was online."

Dark's general MO is stupid games of "I know something you don't know", goal post moving, and bad faith questions.

It's because it's digital.

Maybe Astner uses sundial

Yes, as made clear by the context I cited Darkseid is referring to the fact that the Multiverse is exposed to the Omniverse. Or more specifically he's referring to the Omniverse as the Multiverse because the Source Wall is gone.

Where's either of omniverse or source wall are mentioned there?

Not that it matters, because Dark Crisis proved me right. But what do you think they're talking about. How did the Multiverse become infinite through the destruction of the Source Wall? And more aptly, why didn't it change he map (other than removing Source Wall) in future references of it? In other words, how do you make sense of it?

It doesn't. That's what I'm telling, this shit is inconsistent

Because from where I stand, you're not even trying to make sense of it. You're cherry-picking references and then weaving together your own head-canon to make DC seem as powerful as possible, and then you get mad when the stories contradict your interpretation that never made sense to begin with.

Are you always this dense? I never said this makes sense.

At the end of the Great Darkness arc in Swamp Thing and what's referenced in Justice League Incarnate #4.

"Stalemated," right.

Maybe read the next issue, you idiot.

I sense hate in this post. I can’t understand the reasoning for this. You guys been taking comics everyday for over a decade. Why not get along? I think stilt is the least messed up person here. And he used to steal his coworker’s shoes just to sniff them.

😂 he should just chill.

in the words of the great sarah palin

we are not gonna chill! we are gonna drill!!!!!!

Fixed it for you.

Writer/artist sure knew what they were doing with that scene.

When you get hazed for no reason you get bitter.

Try asking Stilt why he wants me perma banned. Ask him for evidence of why it's deserved. You won't get anything.

Maybe obvious sarcasm or memes not meant to be taken seriously, the same as MrMinds schtick.

Surprised you haven't posted the majesty that is Thor: God of Fists lol

To be honest I'm beginning to sympathize with him.

The multiverse has been infinite and growing for a long time, reinforced tons of times. It’s not suddenly infinite now. What this did will need a little more clarification.

Even Joshua Williams own lead in book to this very story already said it was infinite.

Considering how you're unable to discern proper use of the term, from improper use, I doubt it.

It's a noun, just like the word "rant," (which also happens to be synonymous), so if the word rant can be used in its place then it's grammatically accurate. And as you can see by my original phrasing, "that entire tirade rant is so cringe-worthy I winced reading it," it is correct.

Right, so in this case it doesn't make sense to refer to Nostradamus, or his characteristics, as an "analogy," because those are the analogues.

The confusion arose from your misuse of words. It's like describing the color of a red car as "orange," and when corrected, engage in damage control by looking up hues of orange that are close to the color red.

No it doesn't. In no context is "Nostradamus" an analogy.

I'm not sure why you insist on doubling down when you're wrong. At first it was just ignorance on your part (and that would be fine), but now you're just being obtuse.

Let's take another look at the proper use of the term.

"I'd like to say that we are Nostradamus filmmakers and we saw that coming, but none of us did, life threw a curveball, and I think though I view the election outcome as a tragedy, I think the movie becomes more relevant than ever." - Matt Tyrnauer, on CNN

Notice how this sentence makes no sense if you interpret Nostradamus to mean "charlatan," "pseudo-intellectual," or "pretentious."

No. My point was that (as a working adult) you're a terrible person for asking your parents to buy you a video game console on Christmas because you think it's too expensive.
