That said, African-american accents are not African accents, and I'm not sure if I've heard anyone ever make fun of their accents specifically, normally it's Ebonics and stereotypical phrasings that are made fun of.

I'm not offended at all, speaking more on behalf of DarkSaint, who likes to remind us every once in a while that blacks shouldn't be treated as some sacred cows; Asians, Indians (and so on, and so on) are fully capable of feeling somewhat offended at times by similar jokes, too.
