Comic Book Questions & Discussion

When Lucifer and Death met, both seemed to agree that Lucy would win if they fought. When Michael and Destiny had a chat, Mike stated that he could simply take the latter's book by force.

Shouldn't, then, the Endless be placed BELOW the archangels? Unless, ofc, some event has empowered the Endless or depowered the angels in more recent times.

He threatened to take the book; Destiny said 'Nah'.

^ Destiny has also admitted to Lucifer that Lucifer might be able to destroy him. But Destiny is so nonplussed about the possibility in a rather similar manner as he was in the scene you posted. The implication is that Destiny knows that will never be the case and Lucifer's threats are hollow.

Destiny is more interested in teaching (schooling, even) Lucifer about what destiny really is.

Pretty much.
1 and 2 should be 1 and 1a imo.
Also I think 11 should be above 9. Next to perpetua or below, because Darkest knight was dr Manhattan + crises energy.
Presence has been killed on-panel. Even during the heyday of Mike Carey's run, the Presence was molded by forces external to Him. Only two of several reasons I place the Great Darkness above the Presence.

I suppose what I meant by Darkest Knight's "final form" was The Batman Who Laughs + Dr. Manhattan's connective energy. I guess if he also started tapping crisis energy, he's amped and that's his even more "final form." But that kinda makes it more crisis energy feat than a Darkest Knight feat. I guess I'll change the placement accordingly:

11) Dr. Manhattan/Darkest Knight a.k.a Batman Who Laughs [strike](final form)[strike]

Michael was in Dan Watters' Lucifer vol.3. At the very climax. It was... a rather ignoble appearance. But a very poetic one.

Gawd dammit... Marco Checchetto's rendition of Elektra is gorgeous:

Has there ever been a similar shaping of the Great Darkness? From your post I assume not, it just seems strange.

Dream said that Lucifer was more powerful than him "by far".

We have plenty of on-panel evidence that the top Archangels > Endless so why should we assume that this relation is no longer valid?

I recall Lucifer trying to burn the book of Destiny, only to find out he had been destined to do it etc etc. It's always weird having the Endless in a battleboard situation, because they don't fight as such, anyway.

Great Darkness always was. The literal void before anything. By its very nature, it is shapeless and formless.

Because of all the on-panel evidence that shatters such preconceptions. You read their appearances or you don't.

Was it ever revealed who put Doomsday into that underground vault and chained him up in the beginning of DoS?

I know you're quoting the comic, but the comic is wrong - it's the Calatonians, from Calaton.

Catalonia is an area in Spain, lol.

Doomsday dreams of nothing else but the destruction of Kryptonians, and the establishment of a free Catalan state from her Spanish oppressors.

Then you have Marvel's Slorenia and Slovinia and RL Slovenia... Marvel's Sokovia and Slokovia and RL's Slovakia... Marvel's nigh-indestructible omnium and RL osmium and so on.

House of Ideas indeed.

Even Latveria is just Latvia with extra steps.
