Look at this!

I grew up on a LOT.of Archie comics, they had stuff like that all the time, I just don't understand what changed.

But I'll always hold the torch on 1960's masculinity!

Zod is told of a weapon. He flies through the ship to find the weapon, fry it. The weapon explodes and destroy the ship Zod is on nearly killing him. Surfer could do this in his sleep without a scratch...

Hope we also see Ambrose Chase again, as he was just mentioned

In what continuity does Supergirl ever have more experience than Superman does against Braniac?

At least the last page sting in Action Comics #1064 was intriguing.

I saw that as well. I'm guessing he is talking about her time with Brainiac on Krypton. Also, how are there so many Lobos? Did Lobo get his blood thing again or did Brainiac have some of the Lobos stored somewhere before the planet was wiped out.

Lobo never lost his blood thing??? It was displayed as recently as Dark Nights: Death Metal even.

Spoiler:
When this story arc was initially announced, I thought it was gonna be an army of Lobo clones. But that last bald one acted like he was an actual Czarnian. So maybe they've all been pulled from a past timestream (or alternate universe) by Braniac.

There's been instances of him using it but if we are looking at consistency, it's never been there (for some years).

Interesting

i remember first reading planetary in college and was in awe of how amazing and bizarre comic book can be

Also, this

I was originally very underwhelmed by the Mark 73 Sentinel Buster armor. Being touted as his "most powerful creation yet", let alone most powerful armor.

Sure, it took down dozens of Stark Sentinels but, meh.

Then I read Resurrection of Magneto #4 and saw Blue Marvel, Storm and Magneto struggling with a single Stark Sentinel. Had me reconsidering a little bit.

Still think Stark was talking out his butt. How do you ignore Sol's Hammer or the Godkiller Mark II armor???

Would you even consider the God Killer armor Stark built? All he did was enhance the armor.

^ Wasn't the original Godkiller armor (whose creation, Tony had nothing to do with) shunted out of reality? I don't think it was ever recovered. So I was under the impression that the Godkiller Mark II was built from scratch? Did I get that wrong?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Godkiller Mark II is a completely different armor.

The original Godkiller was created by the Aspirants and destroyed countless Celestials at the dawn of time. Thing was five miles tall.

The Godkiller Mark II was nowhere near that powerful, nowhere near as tall. While it may share a namesake and was designed to fight Celestials (and did), it ended up being no match for a few corrupted Celestials. Not to say it wasn't powerful.

That it could even combat a single corrupted Celestial in an extended fight is a level of power that I'd argue is well beyond the Sentinel Buster armor's.

The one that showed up in Avengers #5, yeah, Tony created it.

^ This discussion (short as it was) got me thinking.

Should I restart my efforts to do a huge Revamped Doctor Strange Respect Thread? I've given up recovering the lost data from my wrecked laptop. The amount of time I spent compiling scans that were never uploaded to Photobucket could be measured in days, not hours. So losing the hundreds, if not thousand+, worth of scans that were carefully curated by subject chronologically with issue ref #s was soul-crushing to me. But sh1t, I was still stuck in the 1970s.

But I was kinda thinking that if time/effort was such a factor, why not do a revamped respect thread for someone like Silver Surfer? Wouldn't take nearly as much time.

And then beyond that... if we're talking about bang for buck, shouldn't I just re-revamp my respect threads for Doctor Doom, Thor and Loki? I used to manually update them with new posts. And I never lost any of those scans. So maybe I should just recompile them with their new stuff since they were originally posted...

... which I now realize are 2008, 2010 and 2011 respectively (!!!!!!!). So that seems like a lot of work (especially for Thor), so maybe scratch that idea.

Maybe I should just manually update Hulk and Iron Man in that order? Since the original postings of those threads, each character has coincidentally had specific incarnations/eras that are more easy to categorize. Which might make manual updates easier than full re-revampings. Like... adding a discrete Immortal Hulk section. Adding a discrete post-Secret Wars Iron Man Nano Armor section.

Thoughts? Sorry for rambling.

Hulk has some crazy fts since tour last posts in his respect thread. An update there would be good. Strange has been depowered for some years now. What benefits could you add to a revamp with minimal to no fts for years now?

Ironman would be a good one as well.

To be more clear, I am considering the following ordered by least to most effort:

1) Manually updating Revamped Loki Respect Thread with new posts -- which, now that I think about it, I could do in discrete sections since he's been subject to God of Nothing, God of Outcasts, and his current God of Stories incarnations, etc.

2) Manually updating my Revamped Iron Man Respect Thread with new posts -- by focusing on new armor incarnations, like his Symbiote Armor & Nano Armor incarnations

3) Manually updating my Revamped Hulk Respect Thread with new posts -- by singularly focusing only on his Immortal Hulk incarnation

4) Posting a brand new Re-Revamped Doctor Doom Respect Thread -- which wouldn't be from scratch but would require re-compilation of all feats from 2012-forward since that's the last time I manually updated it with single posts

5) Posting a brand new Re-Revamped Thor Respect Thread -- which wouldn't be from scratch but would require re-compilation of all feats from 2013-forward since that's the last time KMC posters manually updated it with single posts

6) Completely creating from scratch a Revamped Silver Surfer Respect Thread

7) Completely creating from scratch a Revamped Doctor Strange Respect Thread from scratch (unfortunately)

In short, 1) might take me a couple weeks. 2) or 3) might take me a couple months each. But 4) or 5) will take me a year each at minimum. And 6) or 7) will take me a couple years each.

I love everything you've said above.

^ Yeah well, I ain't doing it all simultaneously. I'm asking which of those notions you'd think would be more productive by tackling first.
