also sukuna going no lube on thy ass

That should actually drain him off of his remaining cursed energy.

Can't wait for it to get animated.

Sukuna's gauntlet alone from when he started with Gojo to this moment probably fills an entire season already.

that's gonna be like at least 2 years from now on

jjk animation is on strike right now, apparently they dont have enough money, even though shonen jump is loaded with cash

Batman with prep:

crazy. too crazy? beats me. just feels like comics have become a series of one-ups-man-ship. nothing remains static. envelop is always being pushed further and further. it has it's coolness, but it's hard to look at batman doing something like that, and still having penguin in his rogues's....

started my--slight--foray into anime recently. started simple. i really enjoyed castlevania--both series. i watched a couple others and had hit and miss. i'm COMPLETELY loving haikyu lol volleyball is my thing and that show is amazing lol

on a separate note--does anyone herre actually collect/buy comics anymore? i've gotten back into it the last couple years but nothing modern. just picked up an x-men 1 a couple weeks back. it's a bit of an ugly duckling but still--it's an x-men 1. wondered if anyone else here bought and sold books.

Yeah, and the explicit stuff isn't even as crazy as the implied stuff here.

Batman (or at least, his sub persona) could upload consciousness into Amazos. Ok.

What's crazier is that he implies he casually took consciousness from Batmen from across the Multiverse. I mean, back in the day we'd argue Tony Stark with prep would break out Sol's Hammer or a Celestial Buster....but this is an entirely different plane of fighting.

Also, no I don't ....for some reason I don't collect comics like I do, say, books. Don't know why. Maybe because they're more fragile?

Between Zur-En-Arrh, Lady Brainiac, and a team of Amazos, Waller has some serious firepower

yeah, that kind of thing with batman and a lot of what's been done with and to the characters (more in dc i think but in marvel too) is just really distancing them from their roots? i mean i wonder what bill finger would think of this version of batman or what siegel would think of superman. though i think of the two superman has remained more true to what he's always been. i'm all for characters evolving--they just can't become unrecognizable.

oh comics can be a pain for sure to keep. lol thats why i only buy and trade key books nowadays. limits the sheer volume though i got my bro's collection hanging out here still...

you collect books?? cool. anything in particular? first print/run novels are expensive as hell lol i tried getting into it briefly but everything i liked i couldn't afford.

any good anime recommends out there?

Well it just gets close to Silver Age stuff, really - so in a way, it's returning to its roots lol.

For Superman, I actually think Siege would more baffled by the fact Superman seems more focus on Clark Kent part as his true identity
After all, power creep is a thing even back in Golden-Silver Ages. But Clark Kent is a disguise, Superman is the true self thing is largely unchanged during Pre-Crisis era

I think Fullmetal Alchemist would be a good start point for anime

I used to casually collect comics here and there. Nothing overly valuable, just stuff I enjoyed reading: Kingdom Come, All-Star Superman, DC One Million, Infinity Gauntlet, Secret Wars... Things like that.

But I stopped when comics became so easily accessible online.

Yeah, just like signed first editions. Nothing major, I do have a Grant Morrison signed edition of Supergods, and a signed copy of The Strain by Guillermo del Toro...

cool. i loved the strain 👆

Also have some signed Lee Childs, a few Terry Pratchetts and a Neil Gaiman. Nothing that would enable me to retire, but I like them. Missed out on a young female author called JK Rowling quite a few years back, still kicking myself over that.

aren't we all.... you have a signed gaiman? almost bought one a couple times. sandman 1 9.8 sig series. great book but just so many great books. nearly bought a couple of his signed novels as well, just always seems to be another book i want a little more...preston and child always release signed copies of first editions of their books at poison pen (i think that's what it'scalled). it's a book shop but you can order pretty much anything from there.

Rob Liefeld made comics right by drawing ✍️ Cannonball and the New Mutants attractive. I had a signed X-force.

Reach

3rd rock.

I am finally just starting to watch the What If...? series. Really not sure why I waited so long. It's really much better than I thought it would be.

Anybody else watch it?
