and just like that the the IG is multiversal lol
Well it does say "Confers power in a universe". It's poorly worded either way you look at it. Does it mean multiversal power within a universe? Which would seem strange or that's just a byproduct of the gem. Grants universal power but it houses within it multiverses, as dumb as that is haha.
Interesting. Looks like Hyper-Man, along with other cosmic obscure characters are back in GL.
A new DC Cosmic team arrives in The Green Lantern #9 — but who are they?
Superwoman (Luma Lynai of Staryl)
Strong-Woman (Marta of Thronn)
Marvel Maid (Lea Lindy of Terra)
Regor (Winki Lamm of Uuz)
Logi of Durim
Quisto of Durim
Vartox of Valeron
Super-Male (Irn Brimba of Soomar)
Vidal (Allen Greene of Inter-Galactic Patrol)
Power-Boy (Zarl Vorne of Juno)
Hyperman (Chester King of Oceania)
Halk Kar of Thoron
Aeroman of Marr
Windlass of Marr
Hyperboy (Kirk Quentin of Trombus)
Hyperdog (Klypso of Trombus)
Maxima of Almerac
Dyno-Man of Sorrta

And to date, an IG has never had multiversal range effects.
Anyway, classic IG does have multi-universal feats, arguably actual multiversal feats,
it operated as "God" even outside all of space-time (Dimension of Manifestations)
and its power was able to affect reality within the Beyond Realm (outside the Multiverse) which is unheard of.
and, it would've operated in other MultiverseS like in the Nemesis arc.
Also, I always felt that in Starlin's view, the IG was always like the shit.
If you recall I believe, "Revelation" ...
a fraction of the IG power (Thanos avatar)
crossed all universeS and landed at the end of time. (if I recall correctly)
Meanwhile simultaneously, Hickman was nerfing the IG to universal restrictions.
This was a contradiction and no one seemed to notice or care.

That's what I got from that. Multiversal power.....but only within that universe.
