That's weird though.

"I have multiversal power, but can only affect this one universe." Seems like a massive contradiction.

It's a magic gauntlet/stone. Odin created an enchantment so powerful even he couldn't overpower it, for example.

Or it's a multiverse inside the stone, but they're all super teeny tiny, so all together don't add up to one 'regular' universe.

I perosnally think it like Speed Force in some degree. Speed Force couldn't access to Marvel so Flash will losing his speed in Marvel Universe

Yeah but Marvel already basically established that all of their cosmics are effectively omnipotent power wise, it's just that they're beholden to the tier system laid down by TOAA. This just kind of seems like an extension of that type of thing. An IG wielder can match a multiversal power, but only within a sphere where he/she has influence. It does seem to pose an odd situation on the forum though because of the whole thing where powers are assumed to work just as they normally do for a character, which would mean that the IG is effectively multiversal on the forum even if such a thing isn't technically true in the comics.

Yeah, Marvel's thrown all kinds of shit out of whack in recent times. Way back when I first started debating, I actually focused more on cosmic/abstract discussions than I did typical hero vs hero stuff, but eventually I realized that the cosmic scene is just damn near impossible to keep track of because stuff is always being changed so I stopped trying to keep track of all of it a long time ago

I don't have a problem with an IG wielder being the top dog within their native universe(generally speaking.) The part that doesn't mesh with me is implying that an IG wielder is fully multiversal... That is simply not the case.

The IG can still only affect the aspects of its native universe(singular), but has a depth of power within said universe that allows it to contend with forces that are considerably beyond universal(see T'Challa /w/ IG vs. God Emperor Doom, for example.) However, that doesn't make the IG multiversal in the literal sense of the word, because an true multiversal power can affect infinite universes simultaneously... Which the IG obviously cannot do. Once removed from its native universe, the IG is effectively powerless.

Like the Dragon Ball universe, and how Snake Way crosses into heaven and hell while only one million kilometer's long. 👆

Oh I know what you mean, that's what why I said that it would be effectively multiversal on the forum but not technically.

so would this be current true darkseid?

JLA odessey is such a horrible book

I can almost guarantee Darkseid will battle Perpetua and when he gets back to full power

really?

the ACTUAL true form one?

they've already shown Three different versions of him, and Multiversity explained they never come into Creation but have representations
There's a Dark Multiverse Darkseid too we saw

That is the current iteration of Darkseid that is being emphasized in mainstream DC right now.

are you sure it's not an avatar?

They could always play the avatar card with this version, but they haven't yet to my knowledge.

He is the 'reborn' Darkseid following the events of Darkseid War.

AP vs range I guess, like power that can level a planet yet focused on on a human sized Target. Has all the power but not allowed to function outside its native universe

are superman threads still banned?
