Yes. IIRC she "stores" the DNA of people she's copied in the past, so it wasn't hard to keep enough male stuff to knock up Destiny.

A little of the German dad, a little of Azazel, so maybe she's in the mix too. Hence the blue.

That was how it used to be, yes. Though originally, Mystique being the father and Destiny the mother was what Claremont wanted to do back in the day.

And yeah, definitely seemed to take place in 616. That first splash-page had a bunch of key moments from 616 Doom's history.

J Michael Stracynski wouldn't be bothered with a non-canon one-shot. By all indications, it's canon to 616.

I am a huge Doom-stan. But this felt one-shot felt hollow to me.

He gave Strange his promise to return that power when evil is defeated during Bloodhunt. At one point he will probably just give it up.

So yeah, I would be surprised if Doom himself doesn't willingly relinquish the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme... At some point.

But "saving the world" is subjective, and Doom won't give up his power voluntarily until he is confident that task is finished(or until someone more clever/powerful steps up.)

I hope Doom raises his middle finger and says "Ain't yours anymore so there's nothing to return. Possession is 9/10 of the law, nerd."

Then sends him to hell.
