Don't forget the bar.

re-reading joe casey's wildcats so so good

some of old alan moore's stuff is alright too though not as good as ellis and casey

Just watched the Superman Movie(2025). It's pretty fun. It's not some groundbreaking movie, but it's definitely enjoyable

Spoiler:
Also, Superman's super breath seems to get a decent feat in this movie.
When a black hole is pulling Krypto, Metamorpho inside it, Superman(who is weakened by long exposure of Kryptonite and deprived from sunlight for a long period, just barely got some sunlight before) uses his super breath to counter the pull of the black hold and frees himself and Krypto and Metamorpho

Ahhh spoilers! I've doxxed and SWATted people for less!!

Had to edit blindfolded. 🙁

Sorry 😮

But I'm a bit curious, when should I put spoiler on something? Because I always posted comics(and some of them are quite recent) and I didn't really put a spoiler tag on them, so I'm bit confused here
Hope I'm not violating any rules

Use [*spoiler] [*/spoiler] (remove the *) to post about the movie. I think you should use them for at least the next week.

Spoiler:
I hated the movie. Well, maybe hate is a strong word, but I certainly didn't like it.

You're good, qwert. 👆

Comic spoilers don't really matter, imo. The companies usually spoil the plots themselves with solicits/teasers anyway.

With the more popular [comic] movies, however, I'd give it a week or two, maybe? Dunno. I just try to give people a reasonable amount of time to see it before I stop giving AF about spoiling it. /shrug

oh shit this is a prelude and it's CANON!? wonder if it will just be a one shot or a limited run?

hope it does well because a sequel would also be amazing.

Well, regardless personal taste, at least I hope this movie is a success.
So DC can push Superman like they're doing in Summer of Superman this year.

I like they're(again) emphasizing Superman's fundamental role in the DC universe
Point being

DC’s publishing line right now is split between the Absolute titles and the All In initiative. It’s been said that the spirit of the Absolute universe is Darkseid, and the spirit of our main comic universe is Superman. As the Superman writer, what does that mean to you?

I have my cop-out answer, which is to read Superman #28 when it comes out in July. That’s when we really start to get into that concept. But I think to me, with Darkseid, everything is about ending. Everything is about the Omega. It’s about controlling things. You have to look at Darkseid first, I guess, to look at how Darkseid is and how so much is about controlling the end of stories.

*I feel like Superman is about beginnings, and the beginnings of stories*. It’s not just about hope. It’s not just about looking at the best in people. *It is about Superman being the beginning of all these things, and the beginning of the greatness of DC*. That’s how we link the two of them, as the alpha and the omega of what we’re doing.

It'll be a mini, and yes, it's official/canon to the film. 👆

Preview:

"Miniseries premiere! An all-new cosmic horror story set in the universe of the terrifying cult-classic film!

The Event Horizon was a revolutionary spaceship designed for one mission: faster-than-light travel with a top secret and experimental gravity drive. But upon activating the device, the ship journeyed across the borders of HELL ITSELF. In a nightmarish realm of torments beyond imagining, Captain Kilpack and the first crew of the Event Horizon must resist all manner of demonic forces including Paimon, the eyeless King of Hell, and their own descents into madness and bloodlust, if they've any chance of escaping back to their own world."

*Slated for release 8/20. happywank

Well we know it won't exactly be a bright and cheerful story. 😂

Lol, yeah. Should be one of the darker stories published in quite a while, given that we already know how the story ends for the crew:

I'm also really excited to get some lore on the Hell realm itself -- namely "Paimon", the eyeless King of Hell:

The name was familiar but I don't know where from (not Genshin Impact). Not sure where from, the Wiki article was no help, but reading the history of him, it made me wonder how future historians would turn all our comic fanfics into legends.....

Like, the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum could just be medieval versions of 'Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe '...

I think it's what Piedmon from Digimon is based on

Don't know about comics, but I know the name from "Hereditary" -- Paimon was the demon King of Hell the cult worshiped/resurrected in that movie.

Smurph has it right, lol.....I loved Digimon as a kid.

I do, too, otherwise we won't be seeing a new Superman movie for the next decade or more. I just hope the sequel is somebody other than Gunn.

But on a more comic related topic, I'm really hyped on the direction DC seems going to do with Superman(and Darkseid)
Really interested in how they will handle Superman is the Alpha/the beginning of stories and DC's greatness concept. I mean, we already have Doomsday Clock where Superman basically is the chosen one in DC main universe, and in DC All In Special we have Superman is the source that represents life on a Multiverse/Omniverse scale
