Ki da dumb that thor got oneshot right after fighting Godzilla for an entire comic and that not happening. But I'm a way bigger Godzilla fan than Thor fan so that's ok.

👆 the inconsistency is horrendous.

Marvel is really just shit these days. Celestials should be moved down to low Herald

Absolute insanity from Bats:

Also, this is kinda insane from Absolute Batman. And considering he is meant to be 6ft 9, now scale this to Absolute Bane:

Hulk endures an attack that destroys the most durable arena in the universe, a Celestial hand.

So Sue's shields are more durable than Hulk, nice.

This is canon for 616 BTW.

But he also said he's using the versions of the characters in their most recognizable states, that he doesn't know when in continuity it would take place, and that it's all part of the evergreen monoculture or whatever that was supposed to mean.

So.... that seems pretty dubious.

Who's ready for Superman to beat everyone?

I feel Snyder was watching Dragon Ball when he was thinking what the next big event would be

That's just tournament of power lol

been re-reading WildC.A.T.s: Covert Action Teams and just astonished at how great Jim Lee's art was, all the women in the comics were smoking hot

that's what made me fell in love with wildstorm in the first place so many years ago

hnngggggg

Superman created the bizarro planet long ago

oh god tapestry please be my wife

Sucks DC isn't using Wildstorm on a regular basis. They appear here and there but that's it. I hope at least one Wildstorm character will be in the new tournament event KO. But I'm not keeping my hopes up

And it's Duggan.

He's Carver of Marvel writers. White Carver, but still a Carver.

Not that I mind seeing Thor casually one-shotted again, of course. It gives me pleasure.

Batman casually dodging surface-to-air missiles:

Wacky as it can be(Absolute Croc is also a f*cking menace) the Absolute series has been consistently great. 👆

MS Paint scaling (vin) puts Bane's height at ~18 feet.

Bigger "?" is his weight. Batman himself is over 400lbs -- Bane's forearm weighs more than that, ffs. 👆

I don't know why but Absolute Croc was kinda sad, for me.

Agreed. 👆

Gotta say that I was hoping for a better portrayal of Absolute Mr. Freeze, though... Something more similar to his depiction in Batman TAS would have been nice.

I can see why they tried to move away from it. Still not sure if I like how his rogue's gallery are his support team here, but it tracks with the Darkseid influence, I guess.

But Absolute Batman is easily the best of the titles. Flash is boring, as in WW, and Superman is .....a slog to go through. I haven't even touched MMH, the art was offputting.

It’s the year of Superman so it’s a foregone conclusion. Plus Williamson said it’s a Superman event, as the last handful of big ones have been for other characters.

I have those Wildstorm compendiums on my list. Need to grab them soon.
