Comicvine denial is a thing of beauty.

😂

so the tweet should be usable here because it corresponsd with what happened in the issue (both by depiction and statements) right?

That would be truly messed up. I know the guy is in denial and I wouldn’t put it past him to do this but the original answer was from June 16th and the correction/ reply was from today. Wonder if carver will admit that he was wrong the entire time. He used the tweet to prove his case and when the tweeter corrected/ updated his response and it’s going against carver, will Carver acknowledge that he was wrong and Superman did destroy the multiverse.

In another thread they were poking fun at the Superman ban here.

That place is nearing the idiocy of SD.net and CBR.

You don't need anymore than the issues to prove that Superman, unequivocally, destroyed World Forger's Multiverse. The statements are so clear, the page clearly shows it shattered as Superman one-shots the World Forger, so it's hilarious that this is still a discussion. It is confirmed that Manhunter's son is the sole survivor of that entire creation, an issue later.

He'll prob just hide behind Galans post about not discussing it.

Still unusable in forum battles, though. Again, Alan Moore's interviews do not contradict the comics (I.e. that Constantine exists).

But no one here is going to use that in a forum thread seriously, lol.

The tweet IS just usable because Carv and Alberto were dancing so hard about it, and it's funny.

I have already argued that Myx can beat actual real life people due to World's Funniest. I wouldn't dare to use an interview since it wasn't on panel.

We’ll Carver probably won’t end up posting this
He’ll probably pretend nothing happened

The rules about outside sources are abundantly clear, and have been for a while now. I'm not going to say "people who post shit should know better" because they do, and they post it anyway.

Ignoring the rules as a pattern of behaviour that will lead to bans. That includes posting irrelevant shit to troll, baiting people, and bashing people.

So Pr said this and people are still pressing this argument. Let's see what happens when the trail of something that was supposed to be stopped yesterday continued on today.

No one is arguing for the usage of interviews, though. abhi simply gave us the FULL context of the cropped Tweet that was posted yesterday... And it paints a MUCH different picture.

Regardless, Phil was spot-on: anyone with a brain should have been able to read the pertinent issues and easily grasp the fact that WF's multiverse was destroyed as a corollary of Superman's punch. Outside sources shouldn't even be needed here.

The easiest way to go about it is: No, an interview (obscure or not) will never have the same weight as an actual panel in a comic. It can be used as supplementary evidence to clarify something, sure, but it cannot, under any circumstances, contradict what is in/on the panels.

The comics themselves are the "Word of God", to use a phrase.

Thanks.

So it can be used as supplementary, but not contradictory.

Heh! What a turn of events. Got to love that irony as some members (you know who) we’re “dancing” because they thought they were right. Now the full context has been revealed and now their saying interviews are admissible and don’t count

Once again supports my comment in the other thread. Not sure how my quote was me riding the editor/colourist comments? Meh

Much like Handbooks and whatnot.
