I'd like to pretend none of us saw that coming, but...
Hickman is who made boring ass Ultimate Reed into "The Maker"(arguably one of the best character turn arounds in comics.)

So I'm not overly surprised that he'd use Maker here. Just figured he'd at least try to hide it better, lol.

Probably be a marvel blackout. All information will only be transmittable by telepathy clairvoience or esp.

Reed was such a jerk, a heel turn was a pretty natural choice.

Saw that King Thor is coming out tomorrow.

What's the premise of that supposed to be [haven't been following Aaron's Thor much at all the past few months.]

Loki has All-Black.
Eons of pent up hate/jealousy. Wants to finally off his brother.
All this is happening at the last gasp of a dying universe. Supposedly....
Future solicits hint at Gorr returning. *shrug*

I'm still wondering how it's all going to mesh together. I just hope that, as good as Hickman is, I agree with his characterisation more than I did during his "lets make the Illuminati utter bastards" run.

Same.

And if indeed it ends up being Maker, I'm curious what his motivations are here? He's always been into the forced hyper-evolution of mankind... As we saw with his Children of Tomorrow, along with himself... So maybe that's why he'd want to take charge of Mutantkind? Dunno. /shrug

I wonder then when did Moira contact Maker.

Also, why did he become Reed etc. Maybe being a mutant wasn't enough etc?

Hold tf up. I just finished War of the Realms: X-Men and have only dabbled in the new Hickman stuff but I’m a bit pissed off and confused:

Spoiler:
Are Wolfsbane, Sunspot, & Sabertooth all really dead or what? Wtf did I just read?

I thought of Maker while Reading the first House of X issue and I'm barely following the series through random scans here in the site.

Well... the look alone made everyone think of Maker...

Hickman's Power of X and House of X are meant to reboot X-Men continuity.

So everything that happened in the X-verse before now won't necessarily remain as it was.

X-Men didn't need a reboot tbh

Soft reboot.

Marvel doesn't do crisises.

And, honestly, after the pre-Hickman arc... yeah, they needed a reboot, lol.

The idea was sound, but its execution was so terrible, that's why Hickman happened.

So those weird sacs in the beginning of the Hickman run are like “cocoons” of new versions of all the X-characters who died the last couple years?

Alberto got banned I see...

Oh ok. So this is going to be set in the far off future? That could be cool I guess.

I'll definitely read to see if Gorr returns though. Thanks for the info. 😄

I don't think we actually know what's cooking in those yet.

That X-Men vs. JLA thread was just too retarded.

I hate reboots. You're writing sucked. Own it

Yeah I bet you're right.

It definitely wasn't the worst I've seen from him, but it was probably the last straw.
