Odin is vastly depowered (For no reason), and basically has no magic or Odin Force left (Sorry Abhiligend, but this was obvious to everyone but you.). It's not even interesting.
Well...I didn't think Odin could sink any lower, but JA said f*ck it. Let's completely depower him, make him a drunk, a POS father, and a tyrant.
I'm not even surprised. I guess Odin is the personification of toxic masculinity in the eyes of some people.
Can anyone who read that story tell me the point? How did it advance the plot? What did it do to improve the current story? Did it build on their relationship? Did it show character growth for Odin or Thor? Usually, I try to be objective and think, there isn't any agenda, and the writer was trying to tell us something. Aka not try and be a fanboy. Thoughts Galan? I feel like a neckbeard guffawing about SJWs.
Also, Thor was born in a cave in Norway. Not in Asgard. It was the same cave that Donald Blake found Mjolnir. It's like.....cemented in his history. Did Clark Kent land in Kansas or Florida? Wouldn't you figure that out before writing the comic?

His own favored son. Yeeesh...
Don't know how to feel about this. It was somewhat satisfying, but really cringy at the same time...
Only if the next writer decides to write Odin as a misogynistic, depowered, idiot. Aaron is gone after War of Realms, and his Odin appearances make up about 2% of the character's history. Also, it's such a terrible deviation from the norm, and so jarring, it's like Red Arrow becoming a heroin junkie in Crisis, everyone knows its shit. In terms of vs. boards, Odin clearly has galactic level abilities even under Aaron when he isn't depowered ("Snuffing out Stars with his breath, and destroying planets with a wave of his fingers"😉.
I'm curious who would take over, there isn't much talent left in Marvel.

Get ready for Odin to get his ass kicked continously now.

Personally, I think the writers are just fed up with how they're treated by management and the fans, and are saying "**** it."
