I think this issue was to show what Odin thinks about him and his son. And is a prep for some future issue in War of Realms, when Odin will do something to redeem himself.

Battle board wise, i tought this issue was "good" for him, because the writer stated that he is losing his power (even tought it was obvious, under Aaron storys Odin in past fought Celestials and defeated Mother Storm).

Ok, but when someone defeat a Galactus with 0,1% of energy, we dont say it is a "high showing" for the character. What makes Odin strong, and not only a asgardian, is the Odin force. With so few of it, he is weaker than most of heralds and maybe mid heralds (from what we seen in this issue).

He is progressively losing the Odin force. Against Jane he could tank a giant storm, probably bigger than earth, without may effort (and that one was far from a peak Odin). Now he cant tank a some attacks from Thor.

Odin was bulding him a special even more powerful hammer which he may have used. Wrong as evidenced by the current issue.

Loki sent one of his hammers. Wrong... Thor was calling it in Valahalla.

Screwbeard "sent" a lot of hammers to Thor. Maybe, I mean he did build them and probably has a working knowledge. Also Thor was actively calling hammers against Juggernaut. 😬
