there are two separate cosmologies being played out within Marvel simultaneously.

Hickman-Ewing-Waid ... are on the same page.

Starlin? ... running his own show.

It seems like everyone is giving their own take on it. Donny Cates gave us his take on it when he had future Thanos standing on the Living Tribunal's corpse with Blackbolt on a chain and the Celestials approaching.

There seems to be no red line to follow when it comes to the cosmology. Which is a shame because I'd rather see a more consistent take on it, with cosmic threats corresponding to the right cosmic entities and whatnot.

To his credit Starlin does actually make references to recent past events in his stories (so he's not completely oblivious to what's going on) but he definitely running his own race.

PS. I too am very intrigued as to how Starlin views the Beyond Realm in his cosmology.

He did mention the Beyonders in a previous story.

My guess is he ignores it in this run, leaving us debating in circles for years to come.

Probably. There might be a brief mentioned of them at best, but I doubt it.

"Again I have slipped into the state of omnipotence. But this time not by choice. And I am merely part of the all-powerful, but not in control"

what do you guys make of this

^^ Is that after he absorbed AAO?

@Astner: ... Great points friend.

If Thanos became one with the BR as well,
this would put him = to even pre-retcon Beyonder imo.

Seems to indicate that Thanos became a part of AAO when they merged, and is basically getting played -- he isn't in control of AAO's power... Perhaps the merger was part of AAO's greater plan?

I was really crossing my fingers that Starlin wouldn't have the supreme being lose to Thanos, so this gives me hope that the man isn't completely batshit insane. 👆

^^ So, that is a scene from after the merger?

The book is already out?

Book doesn't come out until October 2nd.

Exactly how things play out is all just speculation at this point.

I saw this before on Thanos' Farm, but it was taken down. There were a few other pages as well.

And I know what you're thinking, because I thought the same as well; maybe this has something to so with TOAA's superior whose existence the LT speculated of.

But the more I thought about it the more it just seemed like a recap of 616 Thanos being guided (or tricked) by the alternate Thanos to absorb the Abstracts and to merge with him, so I'm guessing that 616 Thanos retains his individuality, but that the alternate Thanos is really in control.

This also makes sense because Thanos has to be defeated, and at this point only he himself can do it.

But we'll have to wait and see.

Edit. This is the page I'm talking about, this suggests that Thanos retained his individuality after the merger and that he's dissatisfied with the alternate Thanos' goals.

Way too much guessing games at play here. Best just to wait to discuss this until the OGN is released and we actually know what happens.

Starlin is 70, ffs.

He doesn't know, either.

The introduction page of Infinity Conflict was pretty telling, lol:

btw ... it also seems, that after Thanos absorbed AAO,

Thanos becomes one of the most powerful beings ever in Marvel.

(to become everything all universeS including "us" (meta) ... is as uber as uber gets)

I can't wait to see what else is included in the upcoming book.

Same shit he did to us with Marvel: The End and even the IG saga. A master of systematized confusion.

Shooter as well with Beyonder, I mean that guy wrote his own universe infinitely larger and more powerful then 616. The guy was doing whatever he wanted.

Pr is a real douche....

Why isn't Superman smarter then Batman?

He's supposed to have "super intelligence". He should theoretically be smarter then Lex Luthor, but this never plays out.

Niche-protection.

The way I see it Superman is normal guy with an access to a computer (better senses, faster information-handling), and Batman is Isaac Newton (more efficient thinking).

Beyonder took everything and Doctor Doom kick him through a door.
Was radical.
Doctor Doom pretty much said now lets fight.
Get ready marvel fans.
