Guess I'll give Heroes in Crisis a try.

I mean, I wasn't, after seeing Arsenal, Commander Steel, and Wally West dead.

But as long as this doesn't mess with Booster Gold. 👆

Seriously, hating Kings interpretation of Blue and Gold.

I assume he's aiming for the Keith Giffen interpretation. The difference, is Giffen's was actually funny. King's is just pathetic.

dc is pathetic lately, Heroes in Crisis might be the worst big event out of the last 10 years (worse than convergence yes)

and they might as well cancel doomsday clock with how many delays it has

Doomsday needs to kill Supes again.

It did wonders for DC.

Hey, I liked Convergence.

Well, the side stories. The main story can to hfil. (Do they ever actually show Parallax and post crisis Supes fighting Anti-Monitor?)

superman with pre-crisis supergirl and Hal parallax fighting anti-monitor, man how awesome that story would be but nope they didn't show it

I did not like convergence, but I did like the outcome of the series, the writer's intention was all the universes before the reboot (pre52, pre-crisis) all exists somewhere in the multiverse. I mean likely the old version of characters been locked away and will be rarely used. but it's still nice for us old fans to know that they did not get erase out of existence but still continue to live and their stories still continue, just that we can't see it anymore. the stories been told, now we get to say goodbye sigh... (got tears in my eyes thinking about how awesome wildstorm universe was)

dunno what the grand theme of things gonna be after doomsday clock though, hopefully for the better. someday dc gonna realize keep rebooting the universe and introducing the new versions of the same freakin characters are just gonna drive away fans, and maybe they will wake up finally have some sense to merge all the old versions of and new versions of the same character into one history. Although I doubt it. honestly some posters on kmc can write better stories than the crap dc and marvel came out in the last 5 years, but I digress

Well as I always said, DC sucks at continuity compared to Marvel who retains all feats from 616 even after Secret Wars (as was confirmed by the writers when asked). Convergence is yet another example of good story retconned out of canon in DC, just like Superman/WonderWoman coupling and Martian Manhunter ever losing to General Zod

convergence was not retconned out of canon, it was mentioned in darkseid war

telos even had his own little mini series after the event

feat wise it makes no difference, having less feats aren't necessary a bad thing. anyone with 3 or more showings you can gauge their power level. dc has more versions of the same character to use, while marvel has more feats in one character

also other battle forums like comic vine sometimes use composite feats for dc there won't be too much confusion

I hope that's really what happens in the book. That a group of cannon fodder frost giants just became tired of Thor's shit and raped him.

Lol...Bran, Bran, Bran...

Back on topic since this is the ownage thread and I feel like owning. 2 (or 3) Probes worked on making the carrier a weapon so that it can destroy Earth..

Here its outright said that they are using it as a weapon to destroy Earth (remember, it was more than 1 doing this)...

Planet busters usually dont have to build planet busting weapons to destroy something they can do under their own power. Let's put it like this, imagine if 3 Surfers had to build something to destroy a planet, Abhigail would have a field day with this. Of course this attacked was stopped but the point is, the Probes weren't close to being planetary because again, why work on something when you already possess the power to accomplish it? It's like 3 Hulks coming together to build a device to take out a large building.

Surfer doesnt need weapons to destroy planets...

The weakest of Heralds (Terrax) can annihilate planets with a stretch of his axe. Enjoy!!!

The hollowers weren't only there to destroy the planet.

The hollowers were there to destroy the universe. Destroying Earth is a side-effect, lol.

Think you need to read the storyline a couple more times, lol.

Edit: Arguably, one can say that destroying Earth is the main agenda, and the universe gets destroyed as a side effect due to Earth being the nexus.

But that wouldn't need specialised machinery to do.

I'm at the arguably part. Destroying earth was the focal key point in that showing. They just needed something to do it.

Exactly.

Using your logic, Surfer/Terrax is > Galactus, because he needs special equipment to feed on Earth.

The hollowers were there to transform Earth into energy for Imperiex to feed on. In the process, Earth/the Universe would be destroyed.

They weren't just there to blow stuff up.

Edit: that's if you subscribe to the 2nd theory, which, tbh, is pretty fair.

Hardly arguable.

Here the probes destroy the universe by a black hole. Young Justice escape by travelling to another timeline.

Yet, the probe tracks them again.

Kinda hard to do that if you are destroyed.

And mind you, the probe actually tanked the universe getting destroyed.

So IOW, the machines weren't just there to destroy the Earth, but convert it into energy, and THEN convert that energy into 'superstring quanta', in order to feed Imperiex?

And as a side effect, the Earth would be (obviously) destroyed, which, due to its special nature in DC, would ALSO mean that the entire DCU would have been destroyed?

Read that last panel...

READ IT!!! I wish Scott was active because I need a sig of this.

Hey mate. I'm still around checking threads I come across everyday. You know me I just sometimes for long periods of time without commenting.

With me now getting my first job I miss a lot of comments that I would have seen otherwise.

You want a sig of the last panel yeah?

I don't think Carver will show his face here for a bit.....

Yea right he’ll get tipsy later and flash freeze below zero

Ripping dat adamantium dancefloor up.

Carver feels pain when Hulk feels pain. Banner created Carver to break the 4th wall and come here as a sentient child with below average reading or comprehension to survive on the net while being endearing and impossible to get rid of.
