They are succeeding though. Worse yet, when anyone calls them out, we are called whiny woman hating man.

They can retcon all they like; it won't change the fact that Star Wars hasn't been the same since they took over the reins.

And I say this as someone that likes Rogue One and Solo.

Is that the same woman from the Vader run, that featured chaotic evil R2 and 3p0?

It's a load of shite, tbh. Disney trying to rewrite history yet again.
How this event plays out is going to completely dictate if I continue following Star Wars beyond it.

Ngl, that teaser worries me...

You're probably thinking of Doctor Aphra. Different character from the one who was revealed to have masterminded the Empire's rise behind the scenes.

I wouldn't be surprised if, for a lot of people, Star Wars almost "ends" with the release of the next movie.

Unfortunately, I might be one of them.

The only thing that gives me some semblance of hope with this "Project Luminous" event is that Soule is part of the team that's heading it up, and I've really liked his SW material thus far.

But again, this could just be a complete shit-show depending on what path they take... ermm

Didn’t care for Solo, but Rogue One was a legit good film. I’ll even put it up there with Empire level good.

It had its problem like all movies, but compare to the last 3 films since Disney took over, it was a god send.

Trouble with Solo, is it told stories that simply didn't need to be told.

Like the Kessle Run. Hollywood seems to have forgotten the power of fan participation, or the fan solidarity formed through fan theorizing. Show everything, and you break that aspect of fandom.

That's why companies who crack down on fan fiction don't have a clue. Fan made fictions popping up all over the place is proof your marketing juggernaut is working exactly as it should, and the fans are whipped into a frenzy for any content they can get.

Plus... It's not Harrison Ford. No one else can fill his shoes, imo.

I don't want to see a movie about a young Han for the same reason I don't want to see a movie about a young Indiana Jones. Harrison is who made those roles iconic... Anyone else who tries to step in to play him is just a pretender that I just cannot accept.

Best speed feat in comics-

What would it be iyo?

And also, how does the best speed feat in marvel compare to the best in dc?

Barry running back in time in Pre Crisis.
Wally evacuating a village in femto seconds
Superman flying so fast he had to be stop by Spectre, or else all creation would be destroyed
Superman outracing teleportation in Red Hood and the outlaws
Prime exchanging blows with the Flash families simultaneously.

Compare to Marvel, Marvel doesn’t put much into their speed demon characters like Dc’s.

Superman feat is also pre-crisis ya?

According to the recently news, Post-Crisis or Pre-Crisis should be no different now, Because they are the same

Should Joker be considered the greatest villian ever in comics?

Still very curious to see how Johns links this all together.

Greatest? No
I'd say Magneto is still by far the best.

Ive heard rumors that the big three will be replaced, Superman will be replaced by jon,Batman will be replaced by lucas, Wonder woman will be replaced by cassie
Is that true?

With DC? Who knows?

I wouldn't call it Empire level, but I do maintain that the third act is the closest anyone has come to recapturing that SW "magic" since the end of Jedi.

And that Vader scene is ****ing sick.

As much as people laugh at it, the EU was an absolutely massive part of SW fandom, and taking it away in the way that they did was a decision that I honestly think will come back to haunt them.

It's possible. He's probably my favourite DC one.

👆

They already admitted a defeat of sorts, by bringing back Thrawn, for example.

They can't kill the past.
