Because after that moment, Manhattan completely remade the Metaverse from the ground up, and altered the timeline again. Superman's punch(what it represented) was the catalyst that made Manhattan realize what needed to be done -- continuity itself changed after that moment.

Prior to that, Manhattan could not see the future, because that future simply did not exist. He essentially wove a new future just after 'the punch', and then seamlessly attached this new future to mainstream DC's current past/present.

There should've been tachyons involved because Dr. Manhattan simply doesn't see the future he exists in it, just as he exists in the past. So unless tachyons were involved he should've known what he would do. That was the whole point of the photograph on Mars scene.

I'm thinking it's because the Metaverse's timeline didn't just shift, as it had before -- it had been entirely remade from the ground up immediately after that moment.

So when Manhattan was looking into the future in previous issues...

He was just viewing that one sequential timeline/future of the prime Metaverse, and not the new future that he would go on to shape later on... And he obviously couldn't see the future of that timeline, because it did not exist.

But I agree that tachyons should have been introduced to muddle Manhattan's senses throughout all of this, because if he can perceive ALL of time simultaneously, then he should have known what was in store for his future self regardless.

Do authors ever really touch on why villians just don't hang it up. Like Juggs for example, getting beaten by hulk's and hyperions is one thing but people like Spiderman is akin to a grown man getting completely washed in a children's karate class repeatedly. Eventually you just gotta give up.

And I understand people like Joker or Carnage that are obsessed and crazy. I just think it would be neat if they touch upon what keeps these villians going after being embarrassed repeatedly

I find that's usually bad writing, or them just sticking their fingers in their ears because they need those villains to put in the comics they want to sell. Like how heroes who will kill, for some reason won't kill the actual villain, but will put down enough mooks to fill a graveyard.

All the good ones have good motivations to keep going. Luthor could do so much, but the inferiority Superman makes him feel just by existing and being Superman won't let him stop.

Why do people in VS related forum like comicvine hate the idea that everything in DC comes from the idea of Superman?
It is metafictionally the fact and main writers like Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison have implied it since 2000's.
Why do they intentionally ignore it? Or, they don't read even comics?

it generally comes from their hatred for DC and in extension it’s ultimate hero/good guy.

They don't even hate Superman because They don't even know Superman
