Got it.

Honestly? Dude was shot in the head by one of the best assassins in the Rebirth-version of DC Universe.

...

He should be dead, lol.

Agreed.

I think it's preacher herald in that pic.

Also Doom beating Taskmaster in h2h was delicious.

I honestly get the impression that DC doesn't like Dick being Nightwing. They want to reinvent him, when they used to have no problem with Nightwing being his thing.

New Star Wars wasn't terrible. It wasn't great either, but the art is VERY good, imo.

Firelord?

Probably not. Just guessing, his classic look is so lame, some artists mess around with his design.

Still not sure tho.

Enjoyed it quite a bit, and I like that Soule picked up immediately after Luke was beaten by Vader in ESB.

Luke is broken at this point, and is questioning whether or not he should even be a Jedi at all. Obviously we know that he ultimately decides to press forward, but the story of Luke finding his path again(and becoming far more powerful for it) seems very promising.

And I totally agree about the artwork. It's great. 👆

My only real issue with it was that some of the dialogue felt a tad bloated. And some of it didn't "feel" like it was that character's voice saying the words, but that's more a personal thing.

I'll definitely read #2, though.

X-Men 4 continues the trend of turning the X-Men in to some sort of supervillains. It's weird.

Goddamn X-Men #4 was a good Magneto.

A jew leading a group threatening humans to take over their Banks, Media and Schools with money is probably not what Hickman intended to show, though.

Such a good scene.

To put an emphasis on his casualness, he also helps Cyclops while eating his dinner in that 2nd page, lol.

So, as much as we shit on Galactus, he did just warp OdinForce Thor into his herald...

That might be his greatest feat against Skyfathers? [and that's not even getting into the fact that Thor is most likely, even as All-Father + Power Cosmic still below Galactus]

Every mutant united... including Sinister (who is not even a mutant), nihilistic Gorgon and vampiric Emplate.

Hickman must be smoking some good shit.

How the f did he finish his steak so fast while talking all the time? He didn't even mumble a bit.

Yeah, it seems in order for his story to work, he did all of the changes abruptly, and then he has throwaway lines to justify the position he wanted them to start with [like Xavier still believing what classic Professor X dos being stated in this issue, but at the same time not really].

If you take a leap and accept that's what they are now, the story is quite good. But as a 'continuation'....eh.

Apparently Talon is his great great grandfather and he's now a brainwashed Talon. So instead of Bruce, Selena, Barbara etc you know curing his amnesia. They let him run around as "Ric" Grayson and get mindphucked by a zombie assassin. im pulling my hair out here

Magneto was trained by Gecko himself.

I liked Apoc's dialogue here also:

I know most of you don't follow Dial H, but they're going bananas with cosmology...

They're going to Apokolips next issue, which got an implied lip service with its location, so this should be exciting.

Depending on how its presented it could be....interesting.

Badass.

Impressive! His steak is probably rare and bloody so he can use his magnetic powers on its hemoglobin, to quickly mince the meat and transport it to his stomach without having to actually chew & swallow it.

The lengths Mags is willing to go just to impress the flatscans...

That’s pretty sick about Apoc’s role.

He reminds me of Vandal Savage in a lot of ways. I would honestly love for a comic of those 2 meeting and just seating down and talking to each other, no fighting, no trash talking, no one upping each other...just talking from one immortal to another, sharing their experiences with us the readers.
