The scans I posted are from the final issue(#75) of the previous Star Wars series -- Pak only wrote the last 8 issues.

Pak is currently writing the ongoing Darth Vader series. First issue was just released yesterday.

tl;dr
In a series that wasn't even focused on Vader, Pak still had him tank planetary destruction while weakened... So I'm worried about what he'll have Vader do in a series that is centered exclusively around him. facepalm

Sure he could. it's not like standing on the surface of an exploding planet gives you planet level durabilty. not even close.

That's just it. I'm a HUGE Vader fan(as Stilt will attest lol), but he shouldn't be doing shit like that.

Star Wars characters should not be written like the f*cking Justice League or Avengers. I can only hope that Pak keeps him a bit more 'grounded' in the current series, but I have my doubts.

Don't get me wrong, canon Vader has been very feat-heavy across the board, but most of the feats he's preformed under other writers have still been in the realm of possibility for the SW mythos... Pak just likes to take things to another level.

Maybe, but I feel like Tony would at least be visibly damaged afterwards(especially if his armor was already compromised prior to said destruction.)
