just read JL 39, right now it's still too early to tell. I hope you are right, if they can somehow make everything from golden age -now canon in the same timeline it would be amazing
but doomsday clock certainly contradict with that, for now pre crisis is earth-1985, golden age is earth-2, new 52 is earth-52, these are all parellel universes/alternative timelines, and post crisis/rebirth is the main universe aka the metaverse. the main timeline still shares some of the same histories from pre-crisis and new52 but a lot of events and origins are altered.
it could certainly change in the future though, where all these timelines merge into one. (which Johns ****ed up in the last issue of DDClock
