Originally posted by MrMind I love naruto for nostalgic reason, and I don't think it fall off that hard. at least not until madara became sixth paths and naruto/sasuke became overpowered. naruto is great because of side characters and antagonists. I never cared about naruto/sasuke/kakashi, when characters like obito/madara/itachi/minato/hashirama/nagato etc are all amazing.
The only one of those characters I care about is Madara and mostly because he's such a shithead he's at least fun to read.
the animation is terrible at later part of the story. so I read the manga mostly. shippuden was great during pain's saga
I borderline exclusively read the manga and frankly I found Pain's arc one of if not the weakest of the arcs in the series because he was such a melodramatic b!tch and my problems with Naruto the character started really coming to light at this time, though I honestly have trouble remembering it.
I can't agree with you about the animation, at least not entirely. The final fight with Sasuke and Madara bamboozling the Great Ninja Alliance were some of the best-looking fights in the series.
JOJO part 2 is my favorite too. but all parts are great, for me as far as anime2>4>5>3>1
For me it's 2>4>1>3>5.
Dragon Ball is more like guilty pleasure for me nowadays, and I won't watch original anime since half the episode is just screaming flexing and charging up. I'd still read manga. only original db, then stops at cell saga in dbz. for me cell saga was the perfect end for dragon ball. what came after that was second rate.
That's what I mean when I say it was inconsistent. Toriyama wanted to end the series at several different points and it really shows.
The anime is unwatchable though yeah, so since we're talking about anime specifically I guess I agree.
and honestly I'd watch dbz abridged instead.
Rest in piece.
one piece has always been hot garbage imo, I like some parts, Doflamingo was a great character, but it's crucial flaw is that the author tried to build a world way too big with way too many people stuffed into it. which progress the plot way too slow. some people enjoy this, but for people like me who watched one piece back since early 00s, it became a waste of time.
OP's pacing isn't particularly slow for the most part, it's just very long. I have no problem with OP when each arc has something happening in it. I dropped OP when after the timeskip we got something like three and a half full arcs where Luffy and his crew curbstomp pathetic villains who never had a chance against them in long meandering arcs where there is no tension.
for me top 10 animes of all time1. Fist of the North Star
