Likely was a Marc had them on the hammer to harness the powers easier as he formerly was wearing them. Each power was meant to be used to “kill” Mephisto rather then amp each power exponentially.

The original plan wasn’t Khonshu getting them. He stepped up as Marc couldn’t do what was needed. He had “doubt” so wouldn’t truely be worthy, while Khonshu is stead fast in the mission and had no doubts so that’s why he was Able to grab it.

That’s how I saw it but then again I could 100% be wrong and he just making Moon dust move around. Woosh woosh

I actually liked them, more of a modern day spin on the characters instead of a straight rip-off of Super Friends. (And speaking of EJ, did that "Captain Atom is a clone of Monarch" story ever see completion? Or was it simply dropped?)

Don't you think that Khonshu could simply be too powerful... and thus, he could ignore that stupid enchantment?

Odin can’t even do it anymore. Really Khonshu hasn’t done anything as far as I’m concerned to indicate he could. But hey consistency in comics isn’t a requirement anymore

Zeus and Bor don't strike me as "worthy" in any way, yet they lifted the shitty mallet with no problem.

So, any f-a-ggot from the skyfather tier should be able to do it.
