Galactus was destroyed by his anti-thesis from the negative zone and killed by Thor in the same issue he killed the Multiversal version of Galactus.
He’s hardly weak. Bro, someone just performed brain surgery on Dr. Manhattan’s body, like he wasn’t an energy being...Lol. Shit happens. Galactus is just the traditional cosmic benchmark. The Avengers had Thor as evidence someone is powerful, MCU has Galactus.
Writers are just lazy now. Instead of coming up with compelling reasons, they just job. But change Galactus for any other cosmic, and the result is the same

You can make excuses just like everything else but it's still not a good look. And onto the context of it, getting jobbed out every issue by the guy you're supplying power to is even worse than just appearances. And so is getting "killed" by a giant fan like Ruby Rose in Resident Evil.
If he died to a cosmic toaster I wouldn't be happy about it being omniversal. 😬
