Well, it could be worse. Galactus could be replaced by a female version because the Power Cosmic is Female.
Also lmao at the first thing that pops up when you Google how to tie a noose

Galactus is gender and race fluid, the SJW dream. Technically he's black to black people, Chinese to Chinese people etc.
LOL dkm, of course it is.

I always liked Thor but his pain doesn't impact me. Aaron's inconsistent girlwank writing was the issue there. Bendis Thanos and Galactus turning into Thor did though. 🙁There's no winning with Marvel anymore. It's just Cates edginess and SJW shit. Unfortunately Cates really wanks Thanos though so we'll have some awful stories and events with him coming up.
I feel like I need to do this with comics again.
I expect comics to get continuously worse such that we'll look back at this in a few years and say "well, at least Thanos was still alive and not replaced by his pansexual sibling. And Galactus wasn't retconned to have been a woman in the previous universe".
There's very few writers, nevermind editors, who are not drooling messes and the ones coming from behind are even worse.
Originally posted by One Big MobI'm trying to read all of Hickman's X-Men in one-sitting when it's all over. I find reading huge runs in one sitting vastly more satisfying than reading it over the course of 2 years or whatnot -- at one point, you lose track of shit, get bored, etc. Specifically in this run, where there's like every character ever there. The only way it would be satisfying is if we would actually talk about the plot of the comics as they come out, but..
And then Hickman is setting up cool Apocalypse shit but I'm not sure I can follow along with it this time every single issue. I'm very curious what his endgame is though here, and if Covid didn't happen we would have probably been done this event which is gay. With the omniversal shit though and with him going bigger every team he controls...
At the very least I just want an issue where he has Apoc punch out Hulk.
I hope I don't get spoiled with a big reveal, such as the one of Doom's involvement in the whole Avengers arc.
So, I discovered "The Metabarons".
If you like mind bending acid trips in comic form, I highly recommend it. This is an odd series.
The start shows one robot telling another robot about how his masters ancestor destroyed half his sons brain, and tore off his ears, just like his father cut off his arm before him.
Then it launches into a story about a stone mason tribe living on a world made entirely of stone.

I thought it was at its lowest when I eventually grew bored of comics to a point where I read almost nothing for like 2 years. Mangog stuff brought me back, then it got boring again and worse... like far worse and it's headed in a very bad direction.
I don't have the energy anymore to follow Hickman stuff even though I enjoy it but I lagged behind and gave up. I hope I gather enough to fully catch up because I know I'll be spoiled if not. He really managed to spread it out over like 6 ongoings though...
The only reason I read new comics at release anymore is because something in Galan's thumbnail catches my eye so I see that and try not to spoil the whole thing and come back sad anyway. Let's just hope Galan's thumbnails don't fully spoil any big X-Men reveals before I read them.
That Doom ongoing is kind of interesting though I guess.
I'd be really curious to see how well they're doing with the people they're pandering to. 👆
You won't have to worry about new release spoilers from me for a while.
I pretty much just post scans out of habit at this point, but tbh, there are only a handful of titles that I even care to read these days(the other 95% is garbage tier anymore), so after today I'm pretty much done posting weekly scans... At least not as much as I do now.
You're welcome.
Originally posted by One Big MobFor as much shit as Snyder gets, his Justice League [and Batman] were disconnected from his real world screeching, so I really appreciate it. And as much as they were Michael Bay-ish trying to be David Lynch and failing miserably, at least he put effort in his scripts, as much as he was capable of. Can't say the same for, well, everything else. It's either absolute blandness such as Bendis or Joshua Williamson [Flash, Batman/Superman], or continuous "So brave" stuff that is the rest of the comics [Wonder Woman, Aquaman or whatever].

I've been going through pre-2000s comics lately just to read something.
Just filled the comic void with Star Wars stuff. 👆
Everytime I look at my bookshelf I look at Sandman, Lucifer, and Swamp Thing and wonder what I should read through. For years.

Try Archie Sonic the Hedgehog. It's great.
Has there ever been a more underrated writer than Christina Weir?
She had a very brief stint at Marvel but all of the work she did was stellar.
Excellent work on the now-adult new mutants, and created a new generation in new x-men.
I'm just amazed at how Marvel could cancel her run, but let Aaron's dumpster fire continue for some 6 years.
